Isn't HTML really really incomplete? And what about the reference implementation? And the fact that every browser out there seems to interpret it slightly differently?
Dr Manhattan didn't lie, he simply lived through the speech before he lived through the point in which he met Rorschach. Remember this guy is trapped in a confusing cycle of past and future.
What happens when it goes away? Does it go to a happy farm for always like Fluffy did when mommy was crying and the neighbor kept washing his fender?
No, Dr horrible will live on. We intend to make it available for download soon after it's published. This would be for a nominal fee, which we're hoping people will embrace instead of getting all piratey. We have big dreams, people, and one of them is paying our crew.
Well what I would have to say is that if you support this latest exploit, buy a t-shirt or something. At least you have a good idea where the money is going. (... unless it's not the official merch... I have no idea myself)
Pls note that the 4gig SSD runs at much faster speeds than the 16gb flash. I made the mistake of installing XP on the 16gb drive and had a mostly unusable system. All your OS should squeeze in on the SSD.
Why do I feel that I'm getting ripped off here? The retail Price of the EEE900 in Singapore is £296 (conversion courtesy of xe.com). It seems to me that Asia is the new cash cow to milk in terms of pricing - even iPods and other tech seems more expensive around here than in the West.
The simple answer is that there is money and power at stake here. So why isn't someone already taking up the role of alarmist?
Well for one, as long as Jack was around, he would risk being grouped together with Jack as "just another radical over-the-top wiseguy". I'd draw a parallel here - Why doesn't the FSF have anyone better than Richard Stallman as spokesman? Because as long as he is around, whoever else speaks out for the FSF would all of a sudden be in the same camp as the bearded unwashed guy.
I can't tell if you're joking on this one. An F1 car holds as many people as this concept car, which is exactly one. Yet it is built with really expensive components, and can survive crashes into other F1 cars, along with the odd wall here and there in a specially controlled environment, namely the special run-off areas that are not present on open roads. I'm reminded of a crash involving Ralph Schumacher that he was badly injured about a couple or so years ago, where he slammed side-on into a wall in indianapolis, a track designed without these run-off areas. Whatever that has to say about the value of the lives of american stock-car racers would be interesting. Also, afaik they've never tried running an F1 car over with an SUV.
He should have followed through with a copyright infringement claim of his own. It's not enough that a major company escaped with less than a spank on the wrist for something they obviously knew was wrong.
If those in power want to kill the internet for the common man, what is there to stop the common man from killing the internet for those in power? I like the way the politician the parent was talking about put it - "We are talking about files here, not documents and stuff like that." Well guess what, documents are files. You ban our files and we will ban yours. You find a loophole to suit your purposes and we will abuse it to suit ours. The only insight that those in power haven't understood is that everything is joined at the hip here - what works for you works for me, and what won't work for you won't work for me.
Does it seem ridiculous to anyone else that you can't send multi-party text messages? instead you have to send each party individually. The phones that support multi recipient actually do the 1 to 1 messaging on your behalf. You're right, texting is more like telegraph than email or IM.

It would have to be sufficiently large so as not to spin till everyone throws up, though.
The one thing that we don't actually have a solution to is the lack of gravity, which causes muscles to atrophy.

Er which driver would that be? The universal print driver comes in around 20mb the last I checked.
Better yet, tie those licenses to your account on an online document store. Sheesh.
HP has given me boxes that size for 4 screws in a plastic bag, wrapped in foam. Repeatedly.
It's not about mentioning Hitler, it's about comparing people to him, or methods to his, I guess.
Seeing as how there are American cables much closer to Cuba than that, what's to stop them from cutting those in retaliation?

let's say you start finding bad sectors on your mostly full drive. Are you going to wait until it fails, or start extracting data now?

Vernor Vinge wrote about the GNAA? And he expects to make money from that novel?
So it looks like another legal fight, over whether the defendant had indeed impeded or deceived during discovery. Not over by a long shot.

I support this solution. Killing yourself and feeding the fishes at the same time is definitely the most humane way to go.
Why don't they steal the ones with insurance stickers? What am I missing here?
Doesn't dialup leave you off the hook? What if there's an urgent phone call? What about phone charges?
You've had a nasty precedent for the past eight years, ever since he stole the election. Aren't you used to it by now? Oh wait...

I have mod points but I don't know how to mod a +1 What the Hell?
