What do you mean? They LOVE this stuff. We'd have 3 new versions of all 6 Star Wars movies: One in 48 fps DVD, 48 fps HD BluRay, and 48fps 3D BluRay. Just imagine all the new sales!
Agreed. When Microsoft can figure out an easy way to handle spanning single windows across multiple monitors, then I wouldn't mind a single application window space. But, for now, I am very pleased I can move my tools to one monitor (and any reference sources) while I work on my main image on another monitor.
Hmm, if I can figure out how to compile the thing for a modern x86, I'd take that darn 60 minute time limit off... or at least increase it to 90 minutes and finally finish the darn game. Twice I got to the second to last level, once looking at the doorway, when time ran out.
Even when I was 14 years old, back in the 80's, I knew that Apple's closed system was no good. Yes, at the time, they had better hardware, software, and such, but it wasn't easily upgradeable, not without spending twice more for a part than what you could put in an IBM compatible. And, look what happened, Wintel machines won. More and better innovation came from the hardware manufacturers that had to compete with each other for user's dollars.
Only software suffered because Microsoft had that locked up. Here Apple won the day for a long time because they did have the more creative designers. Now that we have competition in the OS field, we are starting to see better ideas flourish and rise to the top. We are starting to see better designed software interfaces that allow the user to feel at ease with their computing device.
That's one way to read it. But it also qualifies the directive "after their final use." It does not necessarily define when "final use" must be determined. The scanner, hard drive, etc, can all still be in use. But once they are no longer in use, it must be destroyed.
From that site, for the US dollar in the US.
General information about the reproduction of banknotes:
The Counterfeit Detection Act of 1992, Public Law 102-550, in Section 411 of Title 31 of the Code of Federal Regulations, permits color illustrations of U.S. currency, provided that:
1. the illustration is of a size less than three-fourths or more than one and one-half, in linear dimension, of each part of the item illustrated;
2. the illustration is one-sided; and
3. all negatives, plates, positives, digitized storage medium, graphic files, magnetic medium, optical storage devices and any other thing used in the making of the illustration that contain an image of the illustration or any part thereof are destroyed and/or deleted or erased after their final use.
Yes, that guy should have put that cylinder down rather quickly. He should have realized his health condition was not conducive to handling delicate items.
Actually, the media is NOT trying to shove Romney down your throat. Try to pay attention. Rush Limbaugh has a thing for Newt. Fox News - Anti-Romney (for Newt right now, They were big on Rick Perry for a long time, essentially killing Bachmann's Iowa straw poll momentum).
Study: TV News Bashes Romney, Boosts Horse Race The TLDR; version is: In the broadcast networks, evaluative comments of Romney were 78% negative vs. only 22% positive. By contrast, on-air judgments of Ron Paul were 73% positive vs. 27% negative, evaluations of Jon Huntsman were 71% positive vs. 29% negative, Rick Santorum’s evaluations were 56% positive vs. 44% negative, and comments about Newt Gingrich were 52% positive vs. 48% negative. Other candidates received too few evaluations to be statistically meaningful.
The major topics of the coverage, measured as the number of stories about each, were as follows:
But, also don't forget that the Capital Gains taxes are a second tax on the money being taxed. That money was taxed on the Corporate side before getting to the person, then taxed again. So that 15% is more likely around 30-45% depending on that amount.
Well, what *are* the merits of a lunar colony that will be the 51st state in the US by the "end of the 2nd Gingrich term?" There really aren't any merits to it. There is massive debt incurring R&D and actual implementation. Not too bad if we weren't already $15 trillion in debt and everyone from all parties are yelling to stop the spending.
He clarified in that speech (before the quoted sentence) that we need a goal to inspire kids to achieve greatness. He wants something similar as what happened in the 50's that spurred kids to become educated in STEMs.
The big problem I have is that he wants the first Lunar colony to have 13,000 US citizens and become the 51st state. I think we can all agree that the moon should be anti-national, similar to Antarctica.
Disclosure: I am a US citizen, identify with Republicans, Conservative and early TEA Party ideals. And Gingrich certainly has grandiose ideas - not necessarily good ideas.
Actually, Beck's least favorite person is Gingrich, but his second least favorite person is Romney. Limbaugh is for Newt, but that may be changing after today? Probably not. Hannity, who works for the Fox Newt Network, is full on for Gingrich.
It's silly to say Ron Paul is the only person willing to balance the budget. Romney's most current tag line is that he wants to cut taxes, cap the spending, and balance the budget. Yes, it is his most recent tagline, but that essentially what he has been running on since 2007.
My question is, when the rockets are flying and the nukes are landing, are we going to be hunkered down in our own Vault 13, looking up the Doomsday clock to see if it actually reached midnight?
Frankly, I'm still waiting for a decent, cost-effective camera that has bluetooth or wifi technology for easy transfer to a server. Unfortunately, the only place to get that is with a smartphone or cellphone.
Yes, I've seen DSLRs that have that tech - my kids got their picture taken with Santa on the horse drawn sleigh and the picture immediately sent to be "developed" and placed in a nice little card. But those are slightly more expensive than your regular user's point-n-shoot.
The other problem, which my wife continuously points out to me, the digital camera is yet another device she has to lug around. The convenience of the camera on a phone (and our new Samsung GS2 is really nice) far outweighs the need to carry a normal camera.
No, the Republicans are against the wasteful spending due to highly inefficient government programs, which lend themselves to fraud and abuse, that are supposed to help the poor and needy get out of being poor and needy, but do exactly the opposite and keep them poor and needy. The Republicans want to help the poor and needy become wealthy by working just like everyone else, not sucking off the teat of the government.

I thought it was funny when someone bought rickperry.com and redirected it to ronpaul2012.com. After a few days, the domain was requisitioned by whois.net.
Trade shows, when done properly, give industry people a chance to meet and greet various others they may not have noticed before. Share ideas, etc. Um, that's the idea anyway.
Hey! This is the slashdot comment section. We don't need anything factual around here!
I agree. Have you ever met the "Teenager"?

Meh. Can't you enjoy all 6 for their existent value, rather than smugly putting the others down or pompously elevating your preferred tastes?
Seeing their civil engineering in practice, I think I come away with why their software engineering is the way it is.

Just let it be known that "we didn't start it".

It's interesting. The AXE commercials are very interesting and entertaining, but they have yet to convince me to buy their product.

I agree with you. 3D shouldn't necessarily be ditched. But, then again, you'll never find me spending the extra $3-$5 for the premium.
That's what I thought. Profiling is now a patentable device? ("Device" being used in the very broadest of terms.)
Wow! Someone that doesn't get it.
