You will allways be able to close it via network.prefect-next option on mozilla and fx aswell. If you have such worries, just make it false, and those who would like the convenience of it will get benefit.
...explain why those genetic reseach need that much amount of cpu power? What calculations take that long to process so they need to build fastest computers. And also, are they sure that the programmers working at research labs are optimizing thier codes effectively so maybe the work done on those computers can be done w/ 1/4th of that current power?

Untill IE7 will have support for FireFox extensions, firefox won't be done.
For me, tabbed browsing is not a major goodie for firefox, but it's adblock, spurl.net extension, foxytunes, dictionary search and alot more. And three of them does not have any equivalent for IE and not even opera.
What makes firefox strong is the extensibility and the open source, which made it browser of all time.
What I really wonder, why they still use gtk1 while gtk2 is out for years, and rocks. Thanks to them, I realized I don't have any theme for gtk1 interface.
The thing is, biggest obstacle any new OS will encounter is the porting of some key applications. Linux usage is low, not because it's inferior, because lots of key applications don't run on it. Like Macromedia applications, Adobe applications (apart from acrobat reader) and of course Games.
Google can do nothing about this.
...'pledge a number of its patents to the open source community' means? Isn't it plainly terminating the patent right? or does that mean I can sue anyone for this patent myself?
I've NEVER seen 2000 or XP produce a blue screen of death EVER...
Because Microsoft replaced the technology on win 2k and xp with Gray Screen of Shutdown.
At last 65536 rows as Microsoft Excell. Now lots of people will be able to use their xls files on OpenOffice.org as that's the major blocker for those people I know.
IE users won't get any harm of it. I don't tell to change pages for IE users, so they would get the regular pages, but for FireFox users they will get benefit of some technologies, it can be some clever css usage or searching conventions with the help of xul.
What about making google look better on Firefox but not on IE? Microsoft do that, msn pages look ugly as hell on FireFox even though they have the technology and the money to make it look same in FireFox as in IE. So if Google is strategically partner of mozilla foundation, whey it does not add some other goodies to firefox but keep interface untouched for IE?
Since when US users reflect the all users around the world? Considering amount of spam coming from US, users from different places of the world are more careful in selecting secure software than US computer users.
Linux desktop need some time to mature in those audio issues. You can't play two audio files together w/ alsa. Or I coudln't make it work. For this problem i use esd but now all the applications should be esd aware, which mozilla is not. Well need time, considering things solved in the past, that's not an issue.
I really wonder those shared-source service of Microsoft? Is it checking source only one time? I hardly believe any other developer get to the point he wanted by just checking source at once. So it's actually no use at all apart from marketting trick.
As a value sure it is, but NULL is never substitude for 0 and it's in a pointer type, however 0 is in integer type. That means they are not equal, if they were they would be used as substitudes. Compilers mostly convert NULL to 0, but that can't be a programmer view, because it would lead lots of bugs in a project.
With kernel 2.6 you don't need to recompile kernel for kernel change. I mean in a regular way of make xconfig etc. All you need is kernel headers and they are in/lib/modules/`uname -r`/build
Sure they would disclose the spyware in their EULAs,but not in a way a regular user would understand directly it's a spyware. So even though you read the EULA you won't understand it's something that will popup every minute and take all of your work performance.
What I mean is, reading EULA or not won't save nobody from understanding application installing spyware or not. Even Google, an everyday use service, says it collects information about user queries but nobody care it, which is exact definition of spyware.
Well how come reading EULA would prevent users from getting invaded by spyware? Indeed having EULA is just making spyware legal in one sense. Of course no such a vendor, would put 'this will install spyware' in EULA of its program. There're hundreds of ways of telling you'll get the info from usage of computer and send them to somewhere.
Unless you check the codes/traces of an application, you can never be sure if it'll install a spyware or even a spyware itself.

Why should I need lock for my door? it's my house, and I should easily get in and out without needing a key for that...
Your method of living is only valid if you're the only one in the world.

It's war man. And it's Microsoft that has started the war. It's like one side is nuking you every day and you just expect it to find the right way.

Even 100% would lead to 0 for me.

NULL is never equal to 0, if you talk about C.
It can always download the adimage, but don't show it. Not with IE maybe but pretty sure you can make such an extension for FX.
How is that limitation is related w/ WGA? Isn't it only supposed to check cd key?

Why is it allways Apple that's involved with those rumours? Apples should better hire better PR guys or stop getting benefits from so called rumours.
