GNOME 2.4 used to be slower than KDE 3.1... atleast on my configuration... but GNOME 2.8 seems to have improved hell-a-lot in terms of speed.. looks like am back to GNOME again..
It is also very interesting to see how Gnome is developing Human Interface Guidelines. I wish programmers would stick to them.
very true... the main reason i think is coz a game is not very usable until it reaches the final stage hence there are less hackers interested in working on it.. but if its a product like an instant messenger.. we have a basic product with basic features on top of which hackers would implement features like archiving, adding a new protocol, new buddy icons etc. thereby making a better product... its only the hacker-attractive products that become very successful open-source projects.Check out the top 10 in sourceforge and you will know what i mean.
that was a good try... but these people werent completely dumb though since there is a sweet authentication page which shows up here, here, here, hereandhere:))

These are nowhere analogous, you are stealing bandwidth when u use WiFi this way,but its not the same with light which anyway is gonna illuminate the bench without an added effort to the wattage.
The Atlas V launch system uses the same Centaur stage as on the flight proven Atlas III.
More operationally efficient than previous systems [ Atlas II and III], the Atlas V significantly reduces the time required to process and prepare each vehicle for launch, thus enabling greater flexibility in meeting customer launch schedule requirements.
The modular design and broad performance capability of the Atlas V family maximize responsiveness to customer performance and mission requirements.
