Gotcha. Yeah, I thought you were onto the newest type of Pandora or something. I'm a huge music geek and even (post-merger) Sirius has failed to aptly supply me with new music worth listening to so I am again stagnating amongst my existing collection.
I've had iTunes forever and an iPod for a couple of years but I've only ever listened to one Podcast and that seemed overly complicated to me as it was just a single MP3 file that could be downloaded independently. What am I missing on Podcasts and how do you find one featuring new music that pertains to your favorite genre?
I still have my original Doom shareware disks in the cardboard box. They're in my desk, next to a similarly-packaged copy of Rise of the Triad. I can't remember what else is in there but those small packages from Electronics Boutique way back when were some of the best money I've ever spent. Of course, I also have Ultimate Doom on CD, the Doom Level Editors Guide, D!Zone 150 and probably some other bits and pieces.
You use the user agent switcher and e-mail the bank to let them no not only do you expect them to support your browser, you know for a fact that it works.
The game creators are missing out on the market to get even more real money from their customers. In that Runes of Magic sells in-game goods for real money, if you want to pay real money for in-game gold in WoW or Guild Wars, you should be able to do so - either from the developer or from a third party. Legitimizing third party sales would even keep prices in check. Bottom line - the market exists for in-game gold. If a developer chooses not to enter that market to satisfy the demands of their customers, it will come from an outside source.
Last, what happens to Social Security? This plan would remove FICA payroll taxes, but I assume that current recipients of Social Security checks would keep getting them.
The FairTax is revenue neutral. The federal government will still be provided with just as much money as it is now. That's not to say they won't bankrupt SSI anyway.
So, if you're poor and you have to spend all your income on rent and food, the fair tax hits you hardest.
How so, when the FairTax provides a prebate up the the poverty level for your household which will cover these expenses (unless you've chosen to live beyond your means)?
You assume that the crack was used exclusively for piracy. I'm sure most competent customers who purchased the game also installed the crack. I know I've done so on a variety of programs that insisted you keep the game disc in the drive when playing. Now the crack is being used by even more legitimate customers. I agree with them stripping the DRM but the coders who made the crack should certainly be compensated.
that I've ever seen are at GlockTalk.com I frequently browse with a netbook at 800x480 and the site is just unusable. Firefox with Adblock and Remove It Permanently tame it fairly easily.
at this point, and the Linux purists will condemn me for saying so, is to be able to go to a given web site choose between the Linux, Mac or Windows version of a given program and download a self-installing package that goes Next, Next, Okay. I don't want to have to deal with repositories and dependencies and having to choose which version of Firefox 3.5 I want from a list of 50 entries.
Either downgrade to the previous version or upgrade to a nightly build. The previous version worked for you and the up-to-the-minute version may have already addressed the bug.
I'm currently running XP SP3 and Windows 7 on a dual boot. I would switch, but my FPS in Left 4 Dead fall off too much with W7. My current system started life in late 2003 and has been upgraded as I've needed. I'm still stuck with AGP graphics and an old P4 3.0 GHz with HT. Right now I'm running a BFGTech Nvidia 6800 OC with all 16 pixel channels unlocked. I bought a 7950 GT off eBay earlier this year. It lasted about 3 months.
Sometime the first of the year I'm going to build a new system. I will put Windows 7 on it, as it will be build for it.

Well...the slogan on the web page proudly announces, "It plays everything!" So yeah, I guess they want it to...do...that.

It's what we used before Steam matured and added all of its modern features. Why would someone buy a free chat client?

From on of my favorite Dilbert strips:
An employee is being interviewed by the manager. He asks, "How do you reward your best performing employees?"
The manager replies, "We increase their workload until their performance becomes average."

The hypermilers extol the virtue of slowing down to get better mileage out of a car but none of the information is factored out over time.

I think anybody that downloaded and watched that shitty movie will never download their stuff again.

for dealing with criminals always result in penalizing law-abiding people?
Everybody I know still wants a 9" netbook for $200.

And cranberry sauce! WHOOOOOOOOOO!
no matter which browser you are using. Using the one that's already "running" would likely conserve some energy.
Did you try holding Ctrl and dragging the window around?

But distro bloat makes it slower. Bizarre idea of progress.

Not at all. All the info is on the front. That is all that's necessary.
The next day I simply took sandpaper and scrubbed the bar code off the back of my license.
