Most of the "points" cards have a annual fee. Unless your spending a lot of money it doesn't seem worth it. Plus I have to choose what to do with the points from stuff they offer. Doesn't seem like a good deal to me. If you have a card that offers points without an annual fee please post the link.
If the PS3 is released a year after XBox2, it should be more powerful than the XBox2. Xbox groupies can no longer say "Xbox has better graphics" when you point out that all the games are on PlayStation.:-)
Ever play Madden football on the PS2? Try being up a touchdown against the CPU and a minute left to go. The CPU will make some amazing plays on you. Damn PS2 cheats on me.
I agree. The vanilla servers have more mature players than the latest mod. I think vanilla servers have occasional players like me just trying to get a quick fix for an hour. The latest mod has the 13 year old with nothing better to do and trying to raise there statistics or something. The worst is mods that add voice chat. I don't want to hear some annoying 13 year old scream in my ear. Voice chat is ruining games. If you want to insult me, do it with a text message, I don't even read those.:-)
I am glad somebody said this. For every good mod there are 20 bad mods. For every CounterStrike and Desert Combat there are 20 that just tweak a few weapons or add a couple of new textures. I think its great that people are spending time developing mods but its frustrating to download a mod and then realize it sucks. Too many games don't label the games on server lists as mods, so the only way to find out is to get the boot. It is sad to say but sometimes the best play is with OTB settings and graphics.
If you click on the "PC" link on the page it will take you to the Windows XP tablet edition. This leads my to believe one of the users is actually a "tablet".
So if I'm an airline, I can use CAPPS II data for marketing purposes, pay the fine for breaking CAPPS protocol, and still make a net profit.
You don't mess with the feds. The feds aren't going to give airlines a little fine. They are going to make sure the airlines pay with more than a fine. Look at Martha Stewart.
They already have enough information to do marketing on you. I am member of 4 frequent flier programs and I get 5 credit card offer a week with the airline names on it. The only way not to be marketed to is to take a bus.
Speaking of annoying ring tones..I used to have the knight rider theme, then one day my phone randomly reset to the classic rotary phone sound. Everyone that hears it thinks it's really cool.
Maybe it wasn't "Random". Maybe it was somebody who was annoyed by your ring tone and changed it when you were gone. I know I have changed co-workers phone's before. They leave the room and somebody will call them 40 times playing some stupid 80's song. I change the ring tone to "basic". They never notice because the phone only rings when they aren't there. Makes me want to kill them less.
it has a point n' click interface that would translate well to the GBA
It sound like he has never actually played a GBA. All of those games would be horrible on a GBA. A point & click on a tiny GBA screen would be absolute torture.
I have about 50 GBA games (I do a lot of travelling). With the exception Advance Wars all the good games are really simple finger twitching games. If those games were ported to GBA they would be dumbed down horrible version like all of the other horrible dumbed down ports to GBA. Have you tried Sim City for GBA?? It is so dumbed down its boring after 10 minutes.
I find that playing Battlefield 1942 is a much better experience than Battlefield Vietnam simply by the context. Battlefield Vietnam doesn't really add that much to Battlefield 1942 with gameplay/graphics. What makes 1942 better is simply that WWII portrays a feel good war versus Vietnam which just conjures up images of horror. WWII was probably just as bloody and horrific but the image I have been presented though the media for my entire life has been of an honorable war. Playing 1942 just gives me a much better feeling of wanting to win. I gave up on Vietnam after a while. Maybe I just want to escape to something that is more black and white when I want to have fun.
Installed with no annoying hoops to go through. I didn't try to pirate it. Get the $20 cheaper version. It sometimes hard to find at Best Buy but it is there. Nothing really useful in the expensive versions. Who needs some guy in a video telling you how to save money on your taxes if you make 6 digits? I would think 6 digit salary types have accountants.
However! For as long as Spirit and Opportunity have been working though - something on the order of 80 days - would have taken a person less than a week, if not even a day to do.
If you were to calculate the ROI of an unmanned vs. manned spaceflight, unmanned would be 10 times cheaper even if the same task needed 80 more days. Keeping a human alive for one day in space cost as much as an entire unmanned space mission. It would not even come close. Astronauts do nothing but manual labor in space. The real results are done months later with the collected data.

Until I get a computer installed next to my toliet. I will still read videogame magazines.

PDF?? The should stick to the old-school values and release the magazine in ASCII. Complete with ASCII art for illustrations.

I made a Vietnam game where 90% of the missions involved rescuing American P.O.W.s after they've been imprisoned and tortured for years
Didn't Daikatana already simulate torture in a video game?

Great there is already a hack for it. At least this version has bots. I wonder if you can set the skill level for the bot to "cheat".
It will be at least 4 days before a cheat comes out. So I can play on even field for a little while.
