If you're self taught and in the thick of it you probably know more than most people. I expect you don't realise how much experience you've gained. Maybe you should consider putting up a site for other people in a similar situation to you, if you're seeing the need for one.
It's entirely possible, it didn't hurt the first episode of Dr. Who when that appeared on the net. Viral marketing is becoming a science on its own. They know that people like to be naughty and like free stuff, but that ROTS video isn't a keeper, it's just poor enough quality to make you want to buy the DVD when it comes out...
And another thing; it's always "geek interest" stuff that appears, stuff that us geeks will know how to get. Coincidence?

Actually I wouldn't flame you because that's totally true. I was amazed when I found that out. I used to use speed dialling on my old 6310, I still haven't set it up on the T610 yet because it's too much bother. Apart from that though, it's been a pretty good phone.
Hey I really like that Genndy Tartakovsky style of animation! If you make animation too perfect it loses a certain something, it has to have a style about it. This is why "South Park" looks like it's made with paper cutouts, but in fact it's all produced on a computer.

so that you could just call by viewing the text message and using a "convert to number" type option
Actually my Sony Ericsson T610 does that, it highlights numbers in text messages and you can press 'call number'. In any case, I don't know why Directory Enquiries can't just send you a business card instead of a text, then anybody could just press the call button to dial or save the number directly to their phonebook.
I was going to say Outlook/Activesync can already handle that but the answer seems too easy. Maybe I'm misreading the question? I know he said free but his company probably has Office, so they would have Outlook already.
The commonplace grains (i.e. weekly episodes of "Star Wars") of sand is just banal crap
I say give it a chance, "Young Indiana Jones" was good, so was the "Clone Wars" animation. Lucas seems pretty good at producing TV. There's a severe lack of good sci-fi on TV at the moment so if a Star Wars show came out looking anything like Galactica I'd be a happy man
You're missing my point; there is no equivalent company for a Linux based solution. RM is a computer manufacturer that sells a total solution to the education sector, their own hardware and the images which are not plain old windows disks but include their own proprietary software all preconfigured. This is attractive to schools because they only have to deal with one company for everything. You would have to get RM to adopt Linux, you wouldn't be able to breach the contract and run Linux yourself, or use another company to do that for you. Therein lies the problem.
He doesn't need to, RM provide the disk images for the machines they sell, which come preloaded. The whole thing is idiot proof. You could train a chimp to support an RM network.
I suppose if there was enough pressure from customers to drop Windows, RM would have to make Linux images but I can't see that happening for a while. Schools just pay their contract money and take what they're given.
There could be problems with that as a lot of schools use RM hardware and their prefabbed disk images. RM provide a specialised school service which keeps maintenance and admin at a minimum. If anything goes wrong they just run a disk image. When I was working at a school one of the techs rebuilt the entire machine with a disk image just because of a bad mouse driver. I can't imagine how they would have got on with Linux...
It's quite simple; they now make shows they think we would want to see rather than make fresh and inventive shows. None of the TV companies seem to have a margin for taking risks, they don't seem to understand that we're all tired of the same old formulas. I wish they would just stop trying to second guess their audiences and just give us something original.
Shows how bad things are when even the "sheeple" notice, and proves that we wireheads are right. It's a good thing; when the masses revolt we might see the music biz change its attitude, though with their arrogance I doubt it.

More than you know, I was going to mention that VW ad but I changed my mind. How many fingers am I holding up..?
I had the DVD to hand so I checked it out, and you are exactly right. Must be my Alzheimer's kicking in...
This is from memory, but I'm pretty sure Luke says to Artoo on the radio they're in garbage masher THX1138 as well.

Jedi makes the census list
If I remember correctly, Lucas said he rolled 7 8 and 9 into ROTJ anyway.
Give Manny Coto some credit...

Absolutely. You'd think if anybody was going to get pissed off it would be the guys who make the Tivo...

Yeah, but who is going to provide it? Mr. I-can't-fix-a-mouse-driver?
