talking about. Microsoft (TM) makes the best software on the planet - ever - they don't need paid shills at all. The quality and excellence of Microsoft products are second to none! Such as
You know, you have to wonder. If you gave a shitty review, would they let keep your Longhorn 99 or whatever status? I'd be more than happy to start a blog to promote MS products if they paid me! Then I can buy that Mac I've always wanted!
Personally, I think most of the hate directed at the previous two, Jar-Jar comments aside, was a media invention.
Not in my case. The first episode was sooo over hyped that when I did see it, I was very disappointed. It seamed more like a toy advertisement than a movie. The second was a little better and I didn't hate that one. I didn't think it was that good either.
At work I just have too many instances where the compatability just isn't there.
I'm really confused, now. What did you find that wasn't compatible? I'm seeing two different attitudes here: OO is fully compatible with MS or OO has some incompatablities.
I'm not trying to flame or anything, it's just that I really want to know why there's two differing opinions. Is it a version issue?
It does seam stupid that Nikon is encrypting that data. Following the links, I can't find Nikon's stated reason for doing that.
Adobe is a big player in the photo and document arena and it would be resonable to assume that Nikon's customer base is using Adobe's products. Therefore, it would kind of stupid of Nikon to piss them off. If I were Adobe, I would contact Nikon and just ask "What's the deal? How about giving us the alogrithm." and state exactly why it's in Nikon's best interest to do just that - give the alogrithm to them.
that one of the Popes, I think John Paul II, wanted to take the Catholic Churche's money and help the poor around the world. From what I understand and unfortunalely, I'm having a hard time corroberating, he was disgusted that the Curch had so much money and was sitting on it. The Cardinals or some such Church Bureauacracy wouldn't let him. I'm beginning to think I didn't read it and it's just wishful thinking on this lasped Catholic.

I always wondered if people like this get bored playing TV characters. Then again, over the span of a series, I guess you can develop a character and his emotions. Or, he just wants to buy a house in the Caribbean.
but The Economist gives you a free online subscription with a print sub. The only thing the online has over the print is daily updates, which I don't use much. I'm too old to keep reading off of a monitor all day./. reading does me in - ya know?
... consumers buying Wall Street Journal online are paying 20 times too much.
It would seem that way, wouldn't it? But the reporting and writing that paper does is superior to just about everyone else. I'm willing to pay the amount they're demanding. Am I stupid? Maybe. But I think the other alternatives are definately not worth their price. And I'd lik to add that I pay the newstand price ($1) because the WSJ is a data whore. When I did subscribe to them, my junk mail increased about three fold.
I understand from film makers that I know that it's very difficult to bring a book to film. Many things that work in a novel just don't work on film. I'm curious as to what decisions you made regarding editing, changing, or even adding things to the plot to bring the story to film?
Maybe...eventually? GNU/Linux will hit a tipping point (see this) and catch on like wildfile. After all, a lot of foriegn countries are using it over Windows and a lot of those foreign (non -US) countries are fast growing economies.
I'd like to add that I hope that some of the software developers will start to consider that people will be running their software under another account other than "owner". I have a game, that no matter what I do to the permissions, will not run under any account other than the owner/administrator. I'd also like to point out that I've been following all of the suggestions and tips on/. regarding Windows security and permissions and I haven't had my machine corrupted - yet (knocks on head) Knock on wood. Thanks guys!
I'm with you! For a different reason, though. I surprised my fellow sleep disordered folks haven't chimed in yet. I don't use an alarm clock. It's the only way I have to get a good nights sleep. And I don't drink any caffine after a certain time and I run 4 miles and swim 2000 yds+ per day - so I'm a bit tired by nightfall. But by moving the time, in any direction, screws me up for months. The docs just shrugg their sholders when I ask them about it. Unfortunately, the best sleeping pills go for $3/pill. Ambien rocks!!
How the fuck am I going to spend ALL that time reading the links in the article and post before/. moves on to another?!? Hmmmm?!?! In other words, sir, your post is just as on topic as everyone else's who really didn't read ALL of those links.
Microsoft Office
Microsoft XP
Microsoft Flight Simualtor
and any other Microsoft products out there!

Where did I see RMS breaking into Berkley to listen in on CS lectures ....Hmmmm.....
Look it up for yourselves....

Sorry, dumb joke.
Because if they stick to their own format, there's always: Cannon, Pentax, or some other company that will use a standard format.

... I see that my spelling errors and amount of caffine intake (or lack thereof) is highly correlated.

IBM had a browser that was awesome way before Netscape and IE.
It was for OS/2.
Mod me up too!

I have a question. Is there any compelling reason why shouldn't remove it?
taking enough literature classes years ago when I was in College!
