    Perhaps not the Nethack developers themselves, but I bet somebody will do some kind of VR-version of noteye just to prove it can be done once OcR is out.

    Pretty pointless from a gameplaying perspective though. A red & in ADOM (not sure if there are Balors in Nethack?) is way more scary than anything that can be done in VR or any graphical layer.

    Because spineless abuse-handlers comply with DMCA-notices despite it being a foreign law, totally irrelevant in country X. It's especially hilarious when, for example, some UK company sends DMCA-requests to another EU country. When that happens I sometimes explain to the sender that neither of these countries are US states, and US laws does not apply (especially British people seems to be very confused about this)

    Otherwise I just tell them politely to fuck off and come back with a court order, if it's regarding something that's actually illegal and not something random that happens to be covered by the silly DMCA (if even that).

    They don't have to, Wordpress updates itself by default. Most Wordpress-sites are hacked through plugins like Revslider (lots of people are still running that old version from early 2014) - usually pirated premium plugins (or themes).

    So? Laws that are in conflict with reality should be ignored until they are changed. There are lots of things that are illegal but morally right.

    And this is probably why there are so many fat people in the US. Walking or cycling (+ not having tacos or bagels for breakfast... tacos? Really?) would probably be good for a lot of people.

    I think the OP meant is that those are concentration camps, not extermination ("death"-) camps. There is a big difference, though lots of people also died in concentration camps.

    Emulators can be useful in many ways, but they can not replace the real thing.

    I don't get that argument. STASI was supposed to spy on East German citizens. Does that make it right? If it's the NSA's job to spy on allies, why not change their damn job description or shut them down?

    Targeting OS X is tempting because of 99% of all Mac users *knows* that "Macs can't get infected" (the Apple salespeople told them so), and therefore they don't have any kind of antivirus installed.

    At work, I daily deal with Mac-users who gets their mailaccounts hijacked because of infections. It takes roughly 10-20 minutes to convince them to download and run Avast or something like that, but it's worth the "oh....".

    The summary is wrong, popcorntime has never used popcorntime.se (and I really doubt a site like that could by hosted with binero, which is a typical webhotel - they don't even offer VPS-accounts).

    It's not (not for the gTLD's). People who are anonymous either uses fake information in the whois, or (more likely) doesn't actually own the domain. Which can cause some interesting situations when they want to transfer the domain, and the proxy-service that actually owns it doesn't cooperate.

    Same here. Civ V was the last game I bought without at least downloading a cracked copy and testing it myself - it was such a huge disappointment. I still suspect the reviewers were bribed somehow, or perhaps tested the game before it got radically dumbed down, just before release?

    It's not until recently that I dare buy games again, after watching reviews on youtube so I can see it for myself. I will never trust Firaxis or "professional" reviewers again.

    Because it's very easy to use for people with their own domain but little tech knowledge, it has a massive amount of themes and plugins to choose from (which I admit can be a problem) and it has much less security issues than any comparable CMS.

    I've worked with hosting abuse for a long time, and it's fairly rare to see a hacked WP nowadays - unless the owner of the site has turned off auto-updating. Hacked Joomla-, modX- or Drupal-sites are much more common.

    Space tourism is a much better motivation for rocket launches than country/ideology X trying to get an advantage over country/ideology Y.
