Steve will send some shill journalist *cough*mossberg*cough* a short ambiguous email explaining why FCP X is actually a better product, then the fanboys will understand that they were wrong and Apple is right.
That f*cks up the CRM caller id/customer record lookup that is automatically kicked off when an agent answers as its
that canadian companies caller id that will show up. The agents will have to do a manual lookup and ask more questions to verify
the customer identity.
One bad video/image slipping through could cause Google a lot of problems. Think wardrobe malfunction x 1,000,000
Its why many companies shy away from this.
I love tech as much as the next slashdotter but this just seems like tech for tech's sake. This also surely has privacy and usage rights issues that I we haven't even thought of yet.
Clean up your own back yard before you go knocking on your neighbors door.
The NSA has hardware in Google HQ and most likely other US data centers too.
"The report calls for more innovation to increase production"
I think they should be tackling the underlying problem, namely, people having children without the direct means to support them. I can see a day when parental licensing is introduced. Its a terrible notion but it may be for the greater good.
Time for Honeywell Avionics and Boeing to produce an enormously expensive piece of equipment that "fixes" this. Certification forcing all planes to carry it would be a bonus.
IF this had been the US government introducing this law you'd all be applauding it. Reminds me how all the yanks jumped to Microsoft's defense when the EU fined it heavily for anti-competitive practices, despite everyone constantly complaining about Microsoft.
Typical anti-European sentiment from Americans.
Current energy price is a function of current energy production processes and sources.
We need a new energy source, or more specifically a new energy storage medium. If the energy of the sun could be stored in vast enough quantities then perhaps it could be used to create and move a gravitational anomaly in front of the ship (mini black hole? like that created at cern except bigger and more stable) that would pull the vessel forward providing controllable acceleration. Just brain farting here but we have to start thinking different.
Sad indeed. The first computer i ever used was a vax running vms (a model 220). I'll never forget the time i was taught how to knock other terminals offline using the phone program, or send ascii art via "facsimile". Best of times. Rest in Peace Ken.
The exploit potential for FF4 b9 is worrisome. It could set them back a year of 2 in bad publicity and market share gains.
I submitted a bug 5 years ago and it still hasn't been seriously looked at. (it stops FF from starting up) Just endless (... has been assigned, or has been added reports.)
I won't be touching it until 4.1.
I think its a shame that he was omitted from "The King of Kong" movie. Wiebe took Hanks score and there wasn't so much of a mention of Hank. He's a good guy and Im happy for him.
Also it there a theoretical maximum score for donkey kong? Just wondering what the asymptote is.
..or .Mac, Mobile Me, Apple TV etc All stellar successes.

No better country than Sweden to allow their citizens to be harassed this way.
What a spineless puppet state.

Our only hope is to create engines capable of pushing our vessels to high speeds as in 0.9c upwards. Let time dilation take care of the rest.
So the code is now legally public domain? Aces!

I thought that Fake Steve blog shut down 2 years ago. It was funny for a while but got stale real fast when he was unmasked and the whole book thing.
A-men to that. Screw this Virgo crap.
Bring back the god damn status bar. Change for change's sake is never a good idea.
