Hopefully a better answer: "Some root kits modify the running kernel (through loadable modules on Linux and many other forms of UNIX, and possibly through VxDs, virtual external drivers, on MS Windows platforms). The fundamental problem with rootkit detection is that the operating system currently running cannot be trusted. In other words, actions such as requesting a list of all running processes or a list of all files in a directory cannot be trusted to behave as intended by the original designers."

Just cause you don't SEE anything interesting, it doesn't mean there aren't good games coming out. Were people eagerly anticipating Halo before the xbox launched? People thought it was gonna suck because it was supposed to be made for the Mac, then Windows, then it was ported to the xbox.
Did anybody know that Halo would be so frickin awesome when the xbox launched? There may be a dark horse in the launch line-up.
I think people with HD TVs will be the first people to buy this system. We HDers have been wanting HD games for a very long time. So far, the xbox has been the only system to provide them (very few though).
If I had the money, and wasn't in my last year of school, I'd line up to buy it.
I know that you're just stating facts (except for the 'pulling their weight comment'), but the way you present them leads one (at least me) to understand that the top earners don't pay enough taxes.
So, you're saying that if I am the top earner in the country (top 100% 'bracket') (I wish, watch yourself Bill!), then I should give all (100%) my money to taxes? Would that be the 'correct proportion' that you speak of? Or do you mean that I should pay for 100% of the taxes collected in total?
What you refer to, is known in the philosophical community as a False Dichotomy.
Snip:
"The logical fallacy of false dilemma, which is also known as fallacy of the excluded middle, false dichotomy, either/or dilemma or bifurcation, involves a situation in which two alternative points of view are held to be the only options, when in reality there exist one or more alternate options which have not been considered."
I'm pretty sure they do that, most distros tweak the kernel to suit them somewhat.
I know that SUSE 9.3+ has built-in support for Xen, and since there are different kernel packages especially for Xen support, I assume that Suse has accomplished what Red Hat is working towards. Although, I could be completely wrong since I didn't RTFA.
It's still and LCD because that is the technology that displays the picture. In this case, the LEDs replace the lightbulb that sits behind the display. LCD crystals do not generate light, they need a light generator behind, or in front of them. Using LEDs instead of light bulbs is better for: less heat usage, less power usage, longer lasting, and apparently better colour representation.
So, why don't they release a beta that can be installed on any Linux desktop? Is it not at that point yet? Has it been released and it's just not being talked about? Or am I living under a rock?
and your OS course. Not to mention he was the mystery man behind electoral-vote.com last year.

I think informing their publisher would be more helpful! ID has been a leader in making Linux ports, it's time that the suits at the publishing companies told their developers (and paid them) to make Linux ports too.
Wow, you are sooo interesting! Tell us more!

A protection device? What is that? Are you referring to the DMCA? Because that is just copyright protection, which the warden doesn't protect.
Nintendo tried to sue the makers of the NES game genie 'game enhancer', but lost. Although, the NES wasn't a multiplayer console, so who knows?
On what grounds? "Their rootkit broke our rootkit!"
Ugly, ugly.
How is people cheating in an online game a good thing?
Why do stupid people breed?
Beause all the smart people are on slashdot?
PGR3 and Perfect Dark: Zero look pretty good.

Hopefully the discovery of the wifi registers will lead to the use of wireless networking!
Thanks you captain obvious!
BTW, we don't need 'tunneling'. Merely a network connection between 2 IPs would suffice in order to play a game online.
Why would Sony want an end to users making PSP bricks? That way users have to buy another device!
Unless of course it's true that they make a loss on each unit sold, which I doubt.
I've been using Umbrello quite successfully to create all sorts of UML diagrams in Linux.
There's also Dia, which also has a windows version, and it's not limited to just UML modelling.

If it's merely a Windows app keeping you from switching, it may be worthwhile to buy the $40 crossover office, I believe it supports Quicken.
Ya, but if they turn in a guy paying bribes, the bribes stop!
Haven't you ever done this before?
I'm curious as to what compelled you to check out videogames ~25 years after you stopped playing them. Was it a certain game?

Change the preferences in notifier to 'only show unread messages'
They could also be used for downloading demos, like you can do at Japanese game shops now.
Maybe you can get a free crappy McDonald's game with the purchase of a happy meal?
