I think the biggest problem with dos games was getting all the drivers into the first 640kb and messing around with extended and expanded mem. Windows 95+ and linux work around this obstacle.
The fact that you KNOW they might come out with a HD-DVD enabled xbox somehwere along the track is good enough reason to delay getting a xbox 360 until you are sure ms won't come out with one.
For me, I'm gonna stick with the current gen consoles until the Ps3 is out and then wait see what evolves out of the 360.
looks like they've disabled searching the database of names temporarily. I'll check back after the news of the impact dies down. *adds it to bookmarks*
I remember getting a link from Slashdot to the NASA website where you could put your name down on a plaque that would get smashed into a comet. Is this the one? And does anyone know if that list of names is still available? I wouldn't mind seeing what message I wrote all those years ago.
Md is still a better choice for live recording. Can your mp3 player split and join mp3 files on the fly? When you're at home cleaning out your files of your lecturer shuffling his papers from his actual talk, md/atrac is the better choice.
yes. and this is how certain people were able to take old icq accounts. They'd look for publicly displayed hotmail addresses on low icq numbers, register that hotmail account and if successful they would then ask icq to resend them a confirmation email. The smart icq users never made their email addresses publicly viewable. that would open them up to getting spammed as well.
one thing good about igp's is that you don't need to upgrade all your shit at one time. buy a mobo now, and use the igp until you find the video card you want at a nice price. Also if your video card screws up you can use the igp as a backup. Even for troubleshooting the igp back in the nforce2 days saved me more than a couple of times.
And of course, sometimes the igp can cause conflicts or/and waste resources if not used so rememeber to disable it in the bios if you're not using it.
mod -1 redundant. Linux isn't a monopoly nor does it have a rule preventing ms from making a distro with windows media player on it. The ONLY reason why you won't find windows media player on Linux is because microsoft has chosen not to release it there. On the other hand, microsoft prevented vendors from shipping windows with other media players installed on it.
You forget about the people fixing the computers for these people. Who wants to keep fixing a friends computer over and over for the same spyware problems?
They may not make money directly off IE, but those IE-only sites deter people from running linux which doesnt have IE.
Somebody else can comment on the activex component in IE, and IE's tight integration with explorer and WMP.

Doesn't take away the fact that they still do it and likewise can do it with regards to the PC industry.
I might as well ask, what the story behind her and hot Grits?
yes that's it! thanks.

yes it is.
Mod this guy up. The Square is too significant to be censored.
yes, it goes along great with Uranus.
*dodges tomato*
Or they could be making a ppc clone in which case they wouldn't need to emulate/translate from ppc to x86.
Don't believe him. He's trying to turn us against IBM. Look at what happened to Anakin.

This is awesome news.

Unfortunately, after that it's 'The George Strikes Back' quickly followed by "Return of the Jardi".
Show proof from a reputable website quoting a sony rep saying that.
You won't be able to because you're just another poor victim of fanboys twisting facts around linkage
STFU u.
Because you still need to pay $100,000-$1,000,000 for that house!
They would need one that could avoid harming Lenova.

Because that would make microsoft suffer as well. Retreating from the EU would only help alternative operating systems gain ground.
Judge: is this for me?
Bill whistling: yes
Judge: How kind. Sergeant, please escort Mr gates to the watchhouse.
You might have a point if the other consoles were any DIFFERENT.
Being safER is a good enough reason to use it. :)
