Sorry, but no, it is not the same phone hardware, internally or externally.
It is widely understood that the Nexus One is a variant of the HTC Passion/Bravo which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon-based phone. The HERO is the tired MSM7xxx architecture as the Droid Eris and other prior generation HTC phones.
@bleh - That's funny that you mention problems getting the unlock code - I've had no such problems, even in the middle of a contract. Just call them up and ask, and they give it to me. Couldn't be more straightforward unless they were to put it on a card in the box with the phone. Maybe you just have to be more polite?
Well then let's just make them common carriers like UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. Then if you want the bits right now they can charge you an exorbitant amount of money over and above the standard "ground" rate. You would however lose data integrity as they wouldn't guarantee that all the bits would get to the end user, nor would they guarantee that the state of the bits on arrival is identical to that when they were sent (aka no error checking).
I am a computer geek by any definition. Since May 31st I have lost 53 lbs, I have gone from a size 42 to a size 36 pant, my chest has gone from 50" to 42", I have some excellent muscle definition now, people have taken to nicknaming me Skinny, and I have a fiancée. I rule.:D
From Merriam Webster: accident, an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance, an unfortunate event resulting especially from carelessness or ignorance
I think designers, engineers, and scientists are paid specifically to determine all the things that could potentially go wrong and plan around them (you've heard of risk reduction, right?), thus, there should never be "accidents" when it comes to air travel, as the poster before you suggested.
I still receive all the HTML email I did previously - it's just converted to text formatting. A great deal of it is virtually illegible as some of the places I would receive email from had elaborate background files to their emails - now I just get a jumble of URLs at the start of those emails and have to search for the actual content.
The other problem is that (at least at my agency) we are still forced to create emails in Outlook RTF even though official policy was to switch Outlook to creating text-formatted emails (the option is locked thanks to our user settings). So our emails never get to where they are going looking the way they did when we sent them as they lose all formatting.
I don't care if they tell me this "glossy" anti-reflective coating is better. I've used it, I HATE IT! I was looking forward to the release of these laptops but now I'm forced to either get the 15" Pro or go elsewhere...But I really want OSX so I guess I'm stuck:(
"The result of government control, provision or over-regulation is nearly always bad service, and often expensive."
And this NEVER happens with private industry, now does it?
You already pay for crap service for "them" and better service for yourself, assuming you're not on Welfare like "them".
But personally, I'd rather say screw everyone else:)

I would tend to disagree.

PrimoPDF, use it on all my personal Windows machines. http://www.primopdf.com/
I sure wish I had some mod points right now. Props on the 80s movie reference :)
Parent was referring to several episodes of BSG with the titles mentioned, not different shows...

"Going into the American Revolution without a million livres of French money... " You realize that a "livre" is a book, right?
I believe you meant, draught...

The future formats only matter if the music that comes out will be worth listening to. That and when they redo the White Album again.
Hey now, not all elitist assholes are from Mass. Take me, for example. Cali style.
