The zip shows a text file inside .. pretty innocent. Any stupid dopy PA or temp would open it.
Of course under Linux the extension comes out as:

    invoice.txt

    .exe

An exe fed with lots of new-lines.
I usually reply asking where they know me from.

I mean its weird because it's my private-company address and noone dares spam pr0n (are they selective?)
Anyway, I don't know why but its happening more and more often - I really think someone purposely wants to infect me :(

But then give I am as vile to companies as I am online (and when posting here)
    I shouldn't be too surprised :)

OK - I've been thinking - and I am sure many of - of have thought on similiar lines .. a public email service like this:
    • You add who may send you an email.
    • Anyone else is Blocked.
    • But if you send an email to anyone - that person is added automatically to your "allow list".
    Wait there is more:

    * Knocks *

When anyone emails you - you will get a "knock" but just ONCE (and never again?).
You may then email that person asking him to resend the email which was automatically deleted(or stored?) ...
Anyway by emailing that person you immediately allow him to your list.

Why is this distro so incredibly over-priced?
Given that most brazilians earn peanuts?
It's really unfair (if not utterly sick).

Of course you always can get Conectiva for what? $9 from many ISO-burning website, but if you pay via their website (and most brazilians newbies wouldn't know better) - they will charge you around $40 for the Standard Edition, and around what $120 for the Professional.

When I bought Red Hat 9.0 it was like $20 (amazon.co.uk), Suse Pro 9.0 ok that was dear around $80?? Libranet $60. Gentoo $12-20(?)
... But hey I live in Europe - these people live in Brazil earning like a 1/5 of what Europeans/Americans earn.
    Seriously revolting.
Ok Conectiva has done some good stuff like apt4rpm and that crystal theme (and I don't know what else).
But I hate when I see that happening: brazilians sucking up to the outside world but neglecting their own kind.
Fuck Conectiva, I'm gonna purchase or donate to Kurumin cos at least these guys seem more conscientious

    It was money I remember
I worked part-time (seriously must have been the happiest moments in my life) ...
They were paying me contract rates, I did about 20 hours a week - just right for you to prepare good lessons and teach well without getting drained. Teaching is a very energetic/highly exhausting exercise. Think about it ... you have to think as a teacher AND as a student at the same time
Here in England, if you go full-time (which just kills the joy of any teacher anyway) .. you get peanuts (like what $12000 a year?) - the College I taught was in debt and to cut costs they decided to have only full-timers.
I declined: long hours, poor pay.
    and I went into computing/programming.

I still give private tuition from time to time and once was start making a maths-website, did the prototype and random exercises - with a mascot I drew kinda cute

I loved teaching, I taught like big classes of 40 wild kids 15+ but they respected me. Mind you I looked like a kid too (that was funny).
But the challenge was to make Maths fun and different. That technique I owe to TEFL (teaching English as a Foreign Language) .. which tells you that each lesson should be highly stimulating as well as structured: Materials, setting the theme, nice continuation of previous class (and quick revision), engaging games - are all part of technique.

Imagine now with HTML/FLASH and App Programming how much I could do to aid my teaching.
I got other dreams too, and I've lived the "teaching" one - time to move on (but really wonderful memories, I have to admit)
