    how are we supposed to take advice from an idiot that remains anonymous and can't spell?

    also you are suggesting more a treatment for restless sleep (such as Apnea) or insomnia.
    the article deals more with remaining awake for long hours.

    if you really want to have a refreshing deep sleep you might as well take Zolpidem in a comfortable and well-ventilated room.

    It still may do.
    Sometimes even if a page gets first loaded - if there is high complexity there: bad tables, HTML, CSS, convoluted scripts, etc .. you will still have to wait for all to render.

    OK so next thing you will tell me your computer is a Cray XT3!

    Would be nice if it was possible to sync the Palm's Expense directly into GnuCash (or similar).
    Better still, would be nice if it was possible to sync instead some better app like Mobile Money.

    Koffice is optimized for KDE.
    Hence things fire in a split second.
    So for very quick jobs it can be neat.

    OpenOffice takes ages to fire-up add Firefox to the list too.

    Now for all you lovers of proprietory and closed-source software,

    I think it helps if you play with sound/media-centric Linux distros:

    One of us, is not a audio professional. So let me make this easier for - it is not me.

    Avoid non-specialized Linux distros such as Ubuntu. The average person knows fuck-all about Linux/Unix stuff, the experience will be very bitter at best. I know of a musician that broke in tears, poor thing.

    QNX speciality is real-time. Development effort is invested to keep the kernel light-years from the rest.
    OpenBSD speciality is security. I wonder if every single *NIX have then their own specific niche.
    Linux aims to be generic, Jack of all trades and then master of none?
    I don't know you tell me. Maybe Linux wins in portability, openess, ease? popularity? It's nice to see it evolving.

    Oh, and the next time someone asks me if they should use Linux and OSS, I'll be sure to tell them they should do that *only* if they are expert in the OSS development model, or are willing to hire experts to set it up and manage it for them - so they won't annoy important people like you. Or conversely they could just plunk down $500 for a PC with Windows pre-loaded and let Microsoft manage it for them.

    Nothing wrong with what you said. And still I run Linux/OSS.

    Most people would find managing Linux on their own - a real pain in the arse. When asking for help you could bludgeoned with RTFM flames. But if someone else manages for you (specially for free), then it can be bliss. Real bliss.

    .NET is not code once, run everywhere as people like to believe.

    ASP.Net does not always work with Firefox easily. There are issues with "browsercaps"

    Making sure all the essential webapps are certified for IE/Firefox is very important indeed.
    Otherwise in the case of .NET, it would be one massive headache trying to find the original source code, fixing and testing page by page, and then recompiling/deploying the DLL

    Fix your Cascading Stylesheet on the Menu Front Page for Konqueror.
    You get unreadable clutter. Looks really amateurish.

    Must check to see if the bug happens on Mac Safari also.

    The system seemed permanently corrupted;
    a BSOD would greet you on every reboot.
    I fixed it in the end.
