    I'm not sure if you recall, but Apple tried to buy Be. They valued Be at $50 million, but worked their bid up to $125 million. Be would not drop their offer to less than $200 million, so Apple stopped pursuing that acquisition.

    PS: Yes the overly large wheel was on the front.

    Actually, there are also bikes with the large wheel on the back. These bikes were known as "safeties," since they prevented you from flying forward during quick braking

    My comparison with airplanes wasn't comparing small GA planes with Jumbo Jets. If you had a plane the same size as a Boeing 747 that used propellors instead of turbofans, the propellor version would get you there on less fuel, but you'd get there much later.

    Propellor driven airplanes are much more efficient and cheaper to operate than the jets we fly around in, but the benefit of the jet is the speed. The Maglev may cost more, but is much faster than a diesel train.

    One of the biggest updates in Longhorn will be the replacement for Internet Explorer. IE currently is one of the worst web browsers available and is currently holding many web developers back from producing better products that other browsers support already.
