Heck, making AA, AAA, C, and D sized "batteries" that just receives "wireless power" from the "wireless transmitter" would let you power some of those kids toys for as long as you have the wireless transmitter plugged in. That would be much better than running down the batteries really quickly and then either having to recharge or get new ones.
You must not have children. I can't wait for batteries to die sometimes, and sometimes replace good ones with dead ones. Freaking Elmo.
BAHAHAHA! Yeah, I'm a troll. I only watched Firefly from the fucking beginning. This moderation system sucks. Too many idiots with power. Someone needs their face smacked for trying to mod me down. Fucktard.
Just say NO! to Firefly! They killed off too many of the main characters for me to feel comfortable with its return. BLAH to Josh Whedon! BLAH, I SAY! BLAH!
I'm hoping that if the show does get resurrected, that it will return to it's home on Fox. I think that's the only way it can grow as a show again, is to be prime-time on a real network.
I can't believe the moderation this guy receives for belittling someone who has actually gone to the ends of the Earth for people in need. Post here with your trash when your yourself has spent a summer in a tent in Ethiopia. Fucking loser.
Just an FYI, but I know someone who used "alot" in their masters' thesis at Belmont U. It's kind of ironic, really, because she always put forth a front of being a very literate individual. She advised a high-school student that "alot" was indeed a legitimate word and when that student's teacher marked the "word" out and corrected the mistake, said student was quite unhappy. She defended herself for her mistake, as well, by using her thesis as an example. Just struck me as funny when I read the parent's post.
You have no clue, Mr. Coward. Get back under the bridge before someone goes all Billygoat_Gruff on your ass. Dell doesn't simply not allow you to make those "tweak" setting changes, it has many inherent problems that may prevent you from performing an upgrade.
It's also nice to see you so willing to drop Daddy's hard-earned money down the drain. I'll take that grand in fresh, crisp $100 US bills.
AMD isn't exactly a garage-based company. They've had several "big breaks" already, and I can remember seeing 486 AMDs running toe-to-toe with 486 Intels. This is just another push, but we'll see if it continues, and whether it even turns out to be true. Personally, I have been building AMD machines almost exclusively for the last 10 years. I moved from AMD to Intel when the Celeron 300a made its debut, but then the Athlon pulled me back less than a year later. I'm not sure where this will take AMD, but Dell using their processors to make some high-end gaming rigs would be nice... except for the fact that they're pretty limited regarding BIOS and other system tweaks. That is the one area Dell could really make some adjustments... and the one reason I don't recommend anyone buy from a major distributor of manufactured PCs.
Even nerds can convince the disease-infested prostitute to occasionally give it up... for a fee, of course. You might be surprised at how much farther your dollar will stretch when you don't go for the top-shelf hookers. Not that I would know anything about that...
That statement might be a bit of misinformation. You can say that notebooks out-sold desktops, yes... but how many people upgraded their notebooks last year? Now tell me how many people upgraded their desktops. The desktop isn't going anywhere, least of all is it giving ground to the cumbersome beasts we call "portable". People being more and more comfortable with upgrades is one of the bigger reasons why not as many new systems are sold outright.
Your dedicated 15" is going to be a poor supporting cast member when a customer brings in a computer with their resolution set at 1280x1024. Get a 17" and you're set.
Chances are it'll get her and you both, I'd agree with that. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing. I say this because I watched that horrible killer-cyborg-dog movie she made with Lance Henriksen. Someone hitting her with a nuke is what I'd call karma at work.
I have wolf spiders > 10 cm running around and often through my home.
Remind me to never spend the night at your place.
His name was Robert Paulson.

...was probably constructed of a Pringles can, too.
You can imagine, though, how hard users will crash.
Why? Is Microsoft getting into the cola biz?
I Cock I
I think it's Latin...
I wouldn't have guessed you for a Danny DeVito fan...

Oh c'mon, you're on /.
How would you get crabs?

Perjury is a crime, you know
Yeah! Just ask Lil Kim... courtesy of the penal system.
heheh... I said "penal"
...means nothing when the bombers are people like Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph.
And to think, I saw the 10th Anniversary Edition of Toy Story the other day.
Good Lord, it's been 10 years? Now I really feel old. Thanks a lot.
ascii porn.

How can you possibly mod this redundant? Did someone else mention a carbon-nanotube-armored Kevlar© balloon topped with anti-everything-that-can-possibly-harm-us lasers that just might look like Nick Fury's flying fortress??? I didn't think so.
That makes no sense. How can you redo someone's previous work that has no real method for correction?

You should read posts thoroughly before turning Anonymous Coward on us. I specified a carbon-nanotube-armored Kevlar© balloon... which I imagined would look quite similar to Nick's flying fortress.
