    In many cases it just blocks all incoming connections to machines inside the network, becasue those machines don't have an IP address to connect to.

    This is just the same as turning off programs that are capable of recieving connections, but strangely that isn't always possible under some OS's.

    Much consumer NAT usage is there to stop all incoming connections because they are not useful to most users and not easy to disable in software.

    Come to think of it, why can't Windows just have a feature to block all TCP connections in which it is not the client? Same effect as forcing people to use NAT and hardware firewalls.

    I don't notice my own accent, but I live in Oxford and you would probably think I have an extremely British accent.

    If you think someone has an accent they probably think you do.

    The great thing is, it has been increasing gradually all day. You can watch the capacity going up on the login page (along with some humorous stuff), and the storage capacity when logged in increasing smoothly in line with it.

    They compared source similarity by analyzing the binary? Do they even use the same compiler (or compiler options, debug settings, etc.)?

    Gentoo doesn't have core versions, just versions of each package. This is a new version of the installer, one of the least frequently used bits of Gentoo. Apart from the few prebuilt packages in the version for people without internet, this will produce the same system as any other Gentoo installer.

    Please stop reporting new installer versions! This is uninteresting to those who don't use Gentoo becasue it doesn't effect them, and uninteresting to users because they have installed it already.

    For the active person, a player that uses flash memory to store music has distinct advantages over a player that uses a hard disk. Simply put, flash memory players have no moving parts, meaning that you can take them jogging and your music won't skip.

    But that still leaves other important non-nucleus DNA for gut bacteria, etc.

    Maybe they had infectious saliva like Komodo dragons; we'd have no chance of getting the relevant micro-organisms
