    As the South Pole is on a continent, as opposed to temporary ice, it should be easier. Also, the South Pole has daylight in December.

    The plant is in extreme southeastern Vermont, near the Connecticut River, which flows south to Long Island Sound. Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT are on the river. Boston does not get water from the Connecticut River.

    How many people have 4 gb hard drives? I bought a computer in 1998 with a 4 gb hard drive, but today's netbooks have 160 gb hard drives.

    The day of the static web page is indeed drawing to a close. With Facebook rewriting PHP into HipHop, other middleware products becoming capable of also serving content, and the general transition to "Web 2.0", the largely static Web of the '90's is nearer than ever to its eventual end.

    But some content may well be better static, such as a web version of a textbook.

    Sitting up or lying down? If the former, just put the laptop on your lap; if the latter, open up the laptop all the way.

    And you can't do that with a netbook? It's easier with a netbook because one can fold the screen at an angle to the keyboard, which means that the screen can be almost vertical for easy viewing while the keyboard is horizontal for easy typing.

    You can't hold the netbook by placing your right arm under it with you right hand on the back left corner and the inside of your elbow under the front right corner while typing with your left hand (or vice versa)?

    Sure, no problem. Hold the laptop on your right arm with your right hand holding the back left corner, and type with your left hand (or vise versa).
