I would pay a subscription fee to SciFi and TechTV for a streaming video feed to my computer. I want to have TechTV and SciFi but I don't want to pay for a $50/m package to get them.
Why don't they bypass the cable company and sell directly to the viewer? Then more desireable chanels would not be pushed into an expensive package.
They could the traffic more managable by having something like P2P-Radio(http://p2p-radio.sourceforge.net/).

I wonder why the built in software updater in Firefox doesn't download updates with the bittorent method.
When I ask someone who invented the Internet they say "Ummm, um. Bill Gates!" Seriously, most people do think Bill Gates/Microsoft invented the Internet.
Few people outside the web developer community has ever heard his name, even though he's made one of the most important inventions of the century.
USA Today (Tuesday, November 30, 2004) did an article about OS security. They Tested Windows XP SP1 and Mac OSX Jaguar along with others. All computers did not have the firewall on. Windows had 8,177 hacking attempts per day and Mac OSX had 8,155. Windows had 9 succesful break-ins and Mac OSX had ZERO.
Mac OSX is based on XDarwin (Unix based). XDarwin is open source so there are thousands of eyes viewing and submiting improvements to the code. Because so many different people look through the code many more security holes are seen and fixed. It's like proof-reading a paper you wrote. If you have someone else read it they may see errors that you overlooked.

Maybe it was a bad idea to sue Think Secret before they released the products. It made it really obvious that the rumors were true.
Mirrordot is getting slashdoted. It's very slow.
It used to be IV(roman numeral) there were four universities in the Ivy/IV league.
