It's utterly fucking ridiculous that this was modded down on SLASHDOT of all fucking places. The people here on Slashdot claim that security is of the utmost importance, and what happened here is sickening. I cannot believe that someone can actually SUPPORT what is, basically, the publishing of passwords to a group of individiuals. If you are in a group there, you know everyone else's passwords. So what happens to the innocents that have/are/will be caught up in this?

It disgusts me that this is modded down and that page is still up. You, parent Anonymous "Coward," are now dubbed an Anonymous Hero.

I'm walking along smiling, say hi to some guy.
Guy: You're having way too much fun.

Guy notices my school badge for Full Sail.
Me: Yeah, I'm going for game programming.
Guy: Linux, it's where it's at.
Me: Maybe, but Windows does what I need it to do and besides, most games are made for Windows.
Guy: Not in the future. You should use Linux.
I vainly attempt to move away to my car.
Guy: Knoppix is where it's at. Go to (whatever Knoppix' site is, I forget) and download it. You just put the CD in and it works.
Me: Yeah, I know what Knoppix is, but I use Windows. I don't want Linux.
I was scared I was going to be attacked with Knoppix CDs at this point.
Guy: You should use it. It's free and open source. Don't you like free things?
Me: Fine, I'll check it out. (FLAGRANT LIE)
Guy: Yeah, you should try it.
I slip into my car, lock the doors and get the hell away.

That is how I was accosted by a FOSS pusher outside of a Costco. There are those that take it to the extremes on both sides of FOSS, and neither are good.

  17. Crafting (Coding) in MxO is horrible! on 24 Hours In The Matrix · · Score: 3, Informative

The coding system is absolutely terrible in MxO. You get your raw resources (bits) by decompiling items. From there, you create code fragments which can be used to create items and abilities. A major problem is there is no way to tell the chance you have to succeed in crafting. It tells you nothing about whether your coding skill really has an effect on the outcome of your crafting attempt. Also, the rarity of the bits is very skewed, with some of the most necessary bits for even low level items and abilities being rare.

When I was having stuff done in my foot, the doctor gave me 3 shots and I could still feel him doing his thing afterwards, but I'd rather have that minor pain than another damn needle in me.

No, for me, it's the needle. I have an INTENSE fear of needles.

When I was younger, my mom got something (hepatitis maybe?), so they had to test the family. I was about 5 at the time. I go in and they attempt to draw blood from me. They couldn't find the vein. So what do they do? They keep trying. I ended up being pricked about 15 times in each arm, til my mom stopped it. Those fucking idiots scarred me for life by doing that and now I can't stand to be near needles. Whenever I need to have shots, I need to take something beforehand, either laughing gas, vikadin or something along those lines. A needle-free injection would help me A LOT.
