Currently my multi-format DVD burner serves me well, and I'm sure that by the time the drives that can burn to both dual layer formats are out there will be a steady supply of media as well.
Compaq sells an Accidental Damage warranty. it covers everything and anything, but unlike warranty repairs, which the company I worked for was able to repair in house, (and Compaq paid us for doing it.) Accidental Damage had to be sent out to their depot.
Compaq did indeed honor their terms, (one ADP Repair per year, anything that was not "End-user abuse" was covered by the standard warranty and would not count against you.
Actually, when the battey on my 2+ year old phone died, I got a new flip-phone with a color screen, and external display, for $20 with a contract renewal.
although honestly, I returned 2 seperate 80 GB WD drives for new ones before discovering that I needed to update the BIOS on my Asus A7V Motherboard in order to get it to work right with 8 MB Cache drives...
I have yet to see an MP3 player, (other than the iPod) that has a selection interface that isn't a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. (Carpal Tunnel and all that.)
have you ever used an iPod?
I have used many products with jog dials, and I must say that the iPod scroll wheel, is the absolute best when you are dealing with a very long list of options.

Frankly, the same thing happens on all the discovery channels... The Prime Time programming is a 3-4 hour block played twice
sure, a lot of the shows were reruns, and furthermore, the original techtv content would often be seen in multiple programs, (Fresh Gear and Tech Live)
Frankly, I think that they should've dropped "Unscrewed" and kept "Tech Live" because 85% of Tech Live was new content every day
I got my replay TV set up to record "Unscrewed" and after about two weeks of noticing ads for a particular episode "This week" and never seeing it, I realized every show was a rerun and stopped recording it.
I'll probably give the new shows a one week trial period and if they suck, I just won't watch them.
as an aside, I wonder which network actually had more viewers?
personally I'd say it's because most of the people who listen to the same kind of music as you actually expect to be old and grey someday, and want to still be able to hear their favorite music by then.
there's a program called maxivista that allows you to have one computer act as a secondary display for another computer, although that may leave you using the HTPC as an extended display for the laptop... Hmm, Never used it but I saw it demoed on TechTV
"Actually, a computer that is truely drool-worthy will always cost $5000"-- Machrone's Law
Bill Machrone wrote in a recent article in PC Magazine that the computer you Really want will always cost $5000
the forst 286, 386, and 486 systems all cost $5000 when they were forst released.
And today, the really drool worthy computers cost $5000. just look at any of the Botique(sp?) gaming box makers. Heck, an Apple Dual G5 2.0 and a 23" studio display is $4998 Plus tax!
I couldn't agree more with parent.

At Michigan State University, having a computer is a requirement for admission. Last year the minimum specs were 1000 Mhz CPU and 20GB hard drive.
And the while the Dorm had Coax capling in the walls, it was only connected to an over-the-air antennal on the roof
My mother's words of wisdom on this matter would be "Figures don't lie, but liars can figure"

Personally, I thought the second and third "Matrix" movies were horrible.
It was like watching a videogame someone else was playing.
I seem to recall my school's guidance counselor tekking everyone that the ratio of academic scholarships to sports scholorships in on the order of 9:1
Actually, when the battey on my 2+ year old phone died, I got a new flip-phone with a color screen, and external display, for $20 with a contract renewal.
Personally, I have only a handful of numbers stored in my cell phone. The rest are stored in my Sony Clie.
I have the Clie in my left pocket, my flip-phone and my keys in the right pocket, and my iPod on my belt. Works great for me.
I can see there are advantages to having a camera in your phone, but I would rather have a ~2.1 Megapixel camera with an optical zoom personally.
I'd figure that the deciding factor would be the system you are putting the drive into.
Buy on e-bay for a ressurected Pmmx or PII box, get a cheap 40-80 GB drive for anything with a PIII, P4, K7, or K8
although honestly, I returned 2 seperate 80 GB WD drives for new ones before discovering that I needed to update the BIOS on my Asus A7V Motherboard in order to get it to work right with 8 MB Cache drives...
I have had very good experience with seagate hard drives, (although not that many of tnem)
I have a 4.3 GB and a 20.4 GB that are still going strong.
Hate to be a spoil-sport, but that's exactly what he did. you can't run a gba's video signal directly to a tv.
on the other hand, all you have to do to remove that watermark is crop the image!
right. how long would it take you to listen to a terrabyte of audio, Even Raw WAV files!
that $50 you have leff over will only buy 2 cd's with audio on them, if you're lucky!

The vast majority of people I have asked are willing to pay 50 Cents a song for music downloads that are fast, legal and glitch-free.
There will always be an "Underground" full of freeloaders.
The worst thing that the RIAA ever did in regard to piracy was suing Napster, and therefore bringing PTP to the attention of the masses.
That's largely the same system I use, (Except I go for phrases from songs that I like to "Sing along" with)
In my neighborhood it's a quadopoly.

of course my Sensi told me to kinda lob the wallet one way, and start running the other...
more than likely it will be limited to using all the PC's on the employee's desks once they log off and go home for the night.

quite the contrary, anyone with poor eyesight tends to use lower resolution to make everything bigger, Including graphics on web pages and the like.
