  1. One more thing... on Kinect 2 Sensor Output Image Leaks · · Score: 2

Oh, one mode I saw had "wire frame" figures, and the other was simple "stick men" with articulated joints, and the system seemed to be able to differentiate wrist movement and all five jointed fingers. I imagine that these were development platforms, no telling what will actually make it to the final product

  2. I guess it *could* be called a "leak"... on Kinect 2 Sensor Output Image Leaks · · Score: 4, Informative

    Yes.

This summer, there was a small "science fair" sponsored by MAKE Magazine at Seattle Center, here in Seattle. Microsoft had a large booth and several robots which used Kinect as their sensory input device. There were several different visual modes, of which this was one.

I suppose a screen grab image sent to some outside media could be considered a "leak", but the place was PACKED both weekend days, so I have to think quite a few people saw it and it wasn't being hidden...

But other web sites may *try* to continue with this kind of bull shit. Again, it would never ever pass legal muster in a court, it's just asking for a huge class action (where no one wins except the lawyers)...

Today? The cops would be all over me, and I'd have an unpleasent interaction with the "criminal justice system". The might raid my house, take my car, fine me 100's od $...

It is MUCH MUCH MUCH more legally dangerous to smoke pot today than it was 20-30 years ago.

Perhaps you are under the mistaken impression that Westerners are the majority on this planet?

In Africa, of course we Westerners expect this sort of thing, here in America, we have almost all seen Andrew Zimmern go the these exotic Third World locals and dish himself up a big plate of bugs.

But in many Asian counties such as the Korean Peninsula, certainly China, and probably Japan, bugs are not just the diet of poor people.

I've eaten many a bag full of butter fried grasshoppers (or some similar insect) from street stalls and shops right in downtown Seoul. And given some of the "exotic" (disgusting?) sea life that Japanese eat, bugs are surely in their diet as well.

Maybe MAYBE sometime in the future, insect protein will be added to ground meat products and baked goods for consumption by Westerners, be we are a VERY squeamish society in the United States, and I'll bet Western Europeans are much the same way.
