They were hosting full episodes. If the guy had taken them down, the forum could have gone on, but people mostly went there for the episodes, so that would have killed the site.
They asked for more money.....and the show "went back to its roots." Nothing to see here, move along
The show was (has?) "jumped the shark" and they had to do something to revive the franchise. Getting rid of the Pretty Inturns is a great idea to breath life back into a show that should have been canciled several years ago.
I'm sure google won't tell anyone about your interests in such things...
Many thousands of people are interested in such things, only a extremely tine percentage are interested in actually booking a flight to these locations.
Well, yes, of course. When Microsoft throws that much software license cuts and maybe a few junkets for the mucky-mucks in exotic places for âoeconferencesâ, well, this is the way it goes.
Is there anyone who really thought it would go any other way?

That's because we've figure out how to monetize it. The "for profit prison', means it is a persons patriotic duty to be incarcerated, to help drive the economy.
Or perhaps we Americans are much more prone to violent and illegal activities (gun crimes, theft, fraud, and so on...) that are likly to get you incarcerated? Americans as a whole are much less inclined than many European societies to actuall participate in scoiety with a goal of "getting along". We are an "I've Got Mine, Fuck You" sort of people.
A series of self-portraits taken by Indonesian monkeys has sparked a copyright dispute between Wikipedia and a British wildlife photographer, says Wikipedia is using his copyrighted images without permission. Photographer David Slater complained that Wikipedia rejected his requests for the images to be removed from the website. Although the monkeys pressed the button, Slater set up the self-portraits by framing them and setting the camera on a tripod. The Wikimedia Foundation claims that no one owns the copyright to the images, because under U.S. law, 'copyright cannot vest in non-human authors', the monkeys in this case.
Sure, but the post office could still reject this custom crypto-stamp based of the fact that it's obvious something covert is going on. And you can bet that when that envelope arrives in China, they will take great interest in it, and its unfortunate recipient.
I dropped Comcrap for OTA and DSL and I save $150/mo.
Sure, Comcast sucks... But what kind of Comcast plan were you on that you could have switched to DSL (or whatever) and reduce your bill by $150 and still have "high speed" Intertubes? I mean, what are you paying now? What was your Comcast bill? $250? Really?
France, US, Columbia, and Panama. Jungle diseases of workers was a huge problem at beginning.
The Panama Canal was built in the early 1900's. The issues you speak of can be adequately addressed with modern knowledge. The main issue will still be engineering.
It might be nice to see a different mind-set break the Western hold on shipping transit.
Amazon wants to show specific products to people that might be interested in them? Shocking!
Also, Adblock Plus, and maybe shop at other businesses that don't have the objectionable practices as Amazon and Wal-Mart?
If you read the Wiki article, the vans referenced were used to detect over-the-air analog TVs. No details on any such digital ttv detection.

Also, 25000 users is "huge"?

Yeah, I could just see here bouncing up and down on Adam's enormous penis...

Kindly remove your tinfoil hat before the microwave beams cause it to catch fire.
Copyright infringement for money is a criminal offense, fyi.
Not at Slashdot...
People seem to miss the point that this was a criminal activity for profit.
But of course here, entertainment that cost millions of dollars to create must be free.

How are they going to prevent satellites from observing people in their yards?
Satellites do not fall under this law's definition of "drone".

Here you go...
USDollars are merely imagined by the USGovernment.
Oh they are "merely imagined" by a lot more than just the US Government. And that's why they have actual value.
I'm not really a fan of any "altcurrency", but this guy just comes of sounding whiney and self-serving.

...when Australia had the reputation, especially with conservatives, as being "America done right." How times have changed!
I'm not sure how this law suit falls outside that view...
He found that the parasitic and the host plants were exchanging thousands of mRNA molecules between each other, thus creating a conversation.
I think this is a little bit of a misuse / misunderstanding of the term / concept "communication".
What the hell type of tag is that? I mean, it works, but what the hell? Is that Slashdot-specific, or did I miss some change to HTML?
He thinks Slashdot uses BBcode.
I think: "File Not Found".
Bad linky...

Do you not look at who you're responding to? That's Frosty Piss, one of our biggest trolls. And now you support his position.
One of the "biggest trolls"? Really? Unlike you, I post *all* my comments logged in, and yet still have "excellent karma"...
