It may not be 'okay'. But it is surely to be expected. You have to understand that not because you don't feel that something is opkay that you shouldn't expect it. If it wasn't to be expected, you'd be giving out your bank information to the seller so they could withdraw the money themsevles...surely you do not do that. You used PayPal..so they worst they can do is publish your paypal name, address and what you bought. It is a sacrofoce for getting an item you wanted.
A lot of us aren't in OSS for the the ride to the top. I personally couldn't care if 1% of the population used OSS or 99%. As long as I have the freedom to use the software that I want when I want to, then things are fine with me. And _that_ is one of my peeves against the Microsoft Corp.: by the very nature of their marketing/functioning the people who use their software tend to be drones in that they know not how to function with anyone else doesn't have the dam 4 colored Windows logo all over them.
I like Linux and the majority of OSS tools that I use because I prefer them to their Window's based counterparts, with a few exceptions. I have found that explaining to someone that Linux is "better" than Windows is like explaining gold is better than silver - they have a jewelry box full of a silver and their minds just aren't willing to absorb new information on that topic - and why, they think they are happy with what they have. All that will happen is that eventually, I will not know enough of Windows to troubleshoot their machines anymore
Or is just a "developed nation" thing? There seems to be a workable lawsuit for anything that one person doesn't like about something else. To the best of my knowledge, Target doesn't have a monopoly on any essential product. Nor do they prevent anyone from coming to their store. Suing them do the design of their website for all things is ridiculous.
Unless this school specializes in marketting, there is no way this is going to help in the long run. Further more, you don't give mink coats to poor people....not because they are poor, but because there are other things that one mink coat could have gotten adn would have done them better.

welcome to the internet...enjoy your stay.
They sent it to a stranger they didn't even really meet on the internet. Nuff said.
Exactly.
Aren't lawsuits the kind of thing which ruin peoples lives? IS "good faith basis" all that is required to start one?

We await your better suggestions.
But then why civil suits?

How is software that one pays for inherently safer?

Spammers who use any religion for their spam deserve what ever they get. I can forgive them, sure....but they still need to face punishment.
Can't say that I disagree.
Don't tease me with talk of a better tommorow.
Big companies help big companies. We the consumers are just the pawns. We are here to give them our money.
they forgot to mention having to put down your soul, as a deposit, just incase you understand.

Religions don't affect textbooks, people do.
I have read that page, and the process seems highly flawed to me. Especially considering that of all the people i know, not one has ever been a rater.
Comments any time a story about Fedora come up seem otherwise.
Why do you think he didn't see it?
Because the majority of nerds find this news very interesting.
Why do you think he loved his kids less? Do you know him?
