There is support for winmodems under linux (as much as the name suggests otherwise) check linmodem.org. It is inferiror for two reasons: 1) It is using your CPU time to do what should be done on the hardware 2) It kinda takes away from the whole purpose of a modem which is supposed to modulate and demodulate, so it more of a telephone interface than a modem.
I have to seriously agree with yuor post. Alot of these 'hardcore gamers' complaining that Nintendo is for kids and so they hate it have some serious issues.
I thought they would have aimed at corporations and businesses first as I assumed there would me more fiscal reward to be hard there. But I am not on the inside.
I must admit that I dislike the auto correcting features myself, but in all fairness I am quite aware of how to turn them off, I guess I just don't type enough to get annoyed enough.
I must say though, I never liked (or volunteerily used) MS Word. Before OO.org i used Corel Worfperfect, and before that I used Novel Wordperfect. (think I used it on an old Apple computer too)
That would be my guess to. The onboard CPUs can only handle so much reatime projectile predictions. And I guessing there are always warheads programmed to follow more erratic trajectories.
I still think it would be nicer to use all this money being spent to get those with the hate and the weapons to not hate as much.
So basically it uses a GUI ontop of the package manger (apt/yum) ? This doesn't seem unique to me, I was under the impression that there was a really special method of doing this in Ubuntu.
When I see these comments, I assume that the commenters are doing things with their Wordprocessors that I am simply not doing, and so I am ignorant in that regard. So out of curiousity, what exactly do you need from a wordprocessor that is lacking in curremt Linux apps. I doubt things like startup speed are what you are considering.
Well I call BS since you didn't have the balls and posten anonymously. Just as you have now stuck to Solaris and OpenBSD, you should have stuck to one distro.
Strange how windows is so popular though.
In all fairness, real modems are hard to find these days, and tend to me more expensive.

Hahha - dude - thanks for making my afternoon.
How about we consider the Xbox 360 expensive, and said video card more expensive?
That's all fine and dandy, but that doesn't make the thing not expensive. It still is expensive.

It won't be forcibly. If moving in random directions causes you injury, you may have more serious issues that playing video games.
Virtual boy was their flagship product?
Strange comment.
Well, why not hardcode this into Internet Explorer instead?
Trust me, the average Windows user is more than accustom with fighting their computer.
Wasnt' the questino "why install Linux" ?
I'm sorry you feel that way :)

Many people in the rest of the world would say you are refering to the USA.
Because the United States has been (is?) doing the same?

Because I honestly don't know, how is software installed in Ubuntu? Is is that diff. from other major distros?
I feel your pain.
True, but you are refering to one country, as big as it is.
