I also wish they would have listed the web developer's handbook , at least as an aside. It's a good starting point. I keep it bookmarked and use it to get to other sites.
Most universities (of which I am aware) have 2 different mandatory 'English' classes - a technical writing class for engineers, math/physical sciences majors etc., and a general class for non-technical majors. However, from indications I've gotten from friends and colleagues (including an actual technical writer), these classes are woefully inadequate at preparing one for the workplace. This book looks good, and I enjoyed the review.
I don't know if I would consider that a 'fad' - same thing for JibJab. Maddox is more of a cult phenomenon and JibJab is more of a piece of kitschy mass-appeal.
I saw a screening of Serenity last month, and then saw the US trailer at Batman Begins. That trailer is really more of a shoot-em-up, ooh look at our special effects trailer, and it actually displayed a scene near the end of the movie that, while spectacular, should be left to the film - once you had seen some events near the middle of the film, you would almost certainly recall that image from the trailer and instantly know what was going to happen. That would spoil a very well-placed surprise.
The new international trailer does a much better job of drawing you into the characters and getting you interested in the plot, instead of just showing off the effects. And it's so jumbled up and out of sequence that it really doesn't give *anything* away.
Why don't you start out by going to www.phrack.org and clicking on 'Contact'? Then you will see the email addresses of the staff. Then you can click on them and compose a message. Should I write the message for you, or can you do that by yourself? Come to think of it, I don't think you could handle this. Why don't you let someone else step up to the plate?
What's the problem? GTA SA is rated M. According to the ESRB, a game rated M for Mature can contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language.
Did I not just state that I know nothing about the subject whatsoever? Did I not say that it SEEMED like NASA was being over-cautious to me, the self-professed layman? I obviously can't speak intelligently about this launch. I would just be sad to see it get cancelled. Not having any shuttle launches over the past couple of years is kind of like having Amtrak stop running all trains if one of them derailed. I want to see space exploration and manned shuttle flights become everyday. That's all.
Dennis and Cindy information . I don't see why Dennis would interfere with Cape C. I think NASA is being over-cautious, as they have been for the past few years. Then again, I am obviously not a rocket scientist. Nor am I a meteorologist. Now I'm questioning why I am even making this post!:)
Maybe it will come with an armband too, so I can jog, listen to music, talk to my mom, and be too cool for school. Just can't wait to see a nation full of people running around with phones clipped to their upper arms looking and behaving like Biff's posse in Back to the Future II.
Neanderthals, if cloned, will probably have no real capacity for existing in today's society. However, they may show an unusual propensity for certain types of communication.
For instance, perhaps they will be highly gifted in doling out sharp pejoratives, such as "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

With a little help from male shuttle pilot James Kelly. How much does it cost to transport the shuttle back to Florida from Edwards?

Not even King's Quest data?
That's a bunch of malarkey. The 'base' level iPod in each release has been missing a dock. And they cost about 5 bucks to produce.
