Technically, face transplants are not medically necessary. From a physiological point of view you are right BUT we are both physiologic and psychological beings. When healing the healer tries to improve one, the other or both. A patient without a face might be at a very low psychological level even if from a physiological point of view she is ok so... healing is needed.

Better yet, make those laptops 200$ for USA market. This way the purchase could be turned into a charity. When you buy one for yourself you also buy one for those kids in Africa.

I would pay 200$ for one here in Romania knowing that it is worth 100$ and that the other 100$ is used to buy one for some kid in Africa.

Problem is that most people misunderstand religion. For example, once a Christian "get's it" it becomes a source of happiness for the people around him. However... most Christians don't get it, Gandhi was right when he said "I consider western Christianity in its practical working a negation of Christs Christianity." Anyone who reads Tolstoy's The kingdom of God is within you understands that quote perfectly (Gandhi too was a fan of Tolstoy).

We are the only one to blame for our own unhappiness.

Actually... A smart man wrote over a 100 year ago about 3 Categories: 1. Primitive, people use violence to keep their personal belly full 2. State, people rise above 1 and organize in tribes, states, whatever... the common good of the state comes first, they use war to keep and install order. 3. Final. People forgo war and violence all together. when this is done the colective energy that was wasted in warmongery is put to common bennefit and what you named as cathegory 1,2 and 3 become possible and in the same time irrelevant. Going from 2 to 3 might or might not happen, it is a question of luck... as civilisation moves to 3 internally the previous state (2) is still active externally BUT unlike in the past... it attracts the lower part of society, people of less and less quality... and when you put absolute power in the hands of an idiot you might get a "WTF, my coffee was bad this morning, life ain't worth living anymore... where is the big red button?"

6 months product development plus 6 months for product adoption results in:

of course those prices are for a country like Romania and you get to be the 4th programmer BUT it can be done with 5 figures and bare in mind that for 1000 euros you get pretty good programmers here.
