  3. Demor on New Technology for the Blind? · · Score: 1

After having had a chance to look into the blind gaming world when working on a game for the blind this year ( http://www.demor.nl ) I figure the real progress will be made when the blind can get some better tools to design their own solutions. I don't mean this in a "not my problem" way, but it seems to me they are the ones who understand their problems and strenghts best. Even if adapted computers are a big improofment over the old ways, there seem to be many technologies here (or at the near horizon) that would suit the blind much better. If only there was a bit more cash to develop these solutions, or some tools for the blind to develop these solutions themselfs.

Are you under the illusion that the MPAA would not already know about these sites? I mean, you reckon they don't have google or are you thinking the don't have an internet connection? Maybe they work from a dail-up connection and don't get to check out any forums? A bit more respect for the powers of the dark side might suit you well

Why not wait just a year longer for the mesh network mobile phone. No servers/carriers needed. Just use your exces phone bandwith to route other peoples calls. Offcourse this would start as an feature that would work alongside a normal cellulare network at first... but ones we hit critical mass.... Ok enough of this the future is blinding me

  8. biggest price in the world on 2004 Election Weirdness Continues · · Score: 1

Even if we all fear our inner paranoid conspiracist, it seems naif to ignore that we are talking about the biggest price in the world here. Is it really so far fetched to believe that some might even consider cheating for this? I know I don't want to believe Bush won, and my thoughts might be clouded by my emotions, but I can't ignore that this has shown to be a guy that doesn't mind bending the truth a bit for his personal goals.
