It'd make sense. Sucks for the guy who signed up for PSN with my e-mail address instead of his, but I tried twice to get Sony to fix it and they didn't care.
That's feasible for a hardwired machine, but just how many modern home computers are connected to a LAN, rather than via wireless? Especially if you remove Slashdot users from the population?
Antenna + Hulu + Netflix is so vastly superior to cable that I'm amazed people aren't leaving in droves.
Some people don't have the option - there's no way to get Hulu (or Netflix streaming) without keeping the cable around, or paying even more for satellite Internet.
IT professionals want a system that's actually aligned with a base. Between a consistent base 10 metric, and a base-everything Imperial, the consistent metric is far easier to code for.
No, you have to give it to the IRS. And to local school districts - they won't enroll your kid without their SSN, but it's illegal to not enroll your kid.
That works as long as you get your renewal notice in time. Not so well when you think you're cancelled, and get a renewal at the eleventh hour like B5.
That's true. But from what I understand, the Democrats aren't offering up anything for cuts, and are just trying to continue overspending at their current levels. If the media's wrong, I'm open to correction.:)
Amazon pays for police and fire protection for their warehouses via the property taxes. And it's not their responsibility to pay for the locals' education, it's the parents' responsibility.
I could get a dozen hamburger patties at WalMart for $6, but they'd go bad before I could eat them all. (And dealing with freezing/thawing them increases the costs again.)
As for the drink, that would require liking tea.:-P
I can go to McDonald's and get two hamburgers and a drink for $3. If I made that at home, that's $2+ for the meat, $1.50 for the drink, plus the cost of charcoal/lighter fluid for the grill.
For someone who's been giving out their Google Voice number from the start, they're probably better off with a separate number. This is more idea for people like, well, me—I'd like to use Google Voice, but I've had the same phone number for over a decade and don't really want to start giving a new number to everybody.
They can use it, but they also have to meet a fairly high burden (well, they do if the jury is competent) and show beyond a reasonable doubt that you had anything to do with the bodies.
In private companies, things are different, because the owner cares of what the heck is going on in his/her company, and would tighten the screws on any management that is not in the actual best interest of the firm. Owners want their companies to last long and not just till the end of the fiscal year.
You'd think that. From experience: that only holds true as long as the owner isn't trying to sell the company before the end of the fiscal year.:p
I don't know how much is "core" OS optimization, and how much is just driver optimization, but Windows definitely takes a battery performance hit- probably somewhere between half and two-thirds of what I get in OS X.

The problem was that they didn't know that Apple would be imposing the cut when they started up; that was a recent change by Apple.
It's possible that it's a group, though with copyright assignment only going to Tim Jones I tend to doubt it.

She appeared on the main show with David Tennant, while both David Tennant and Matt Smith appeared on her show.
The link is Coral Cached, presumably in an attempt to prevent a slashdotting.

The Republicans only control the House; the Democrat-controlled Senate isn't exactly being cooperative.

Meijer is nice, though while the Target across the street* has a smaller selection, for what it does have it's invariable cheaper.
*Seriously, three out of the four places I've lived, they had a Target either across the street from or right next to the Meijer. Kinda creepy.
Why would I do that?
So you earn the 1-2% your card offers you back on each purchase, that comes at no cost to you if you actually pay your bill each month?

But Apple can deny it if they don't agree with the given rating.
No, all of Mass Effect's dialogue is skippable. On 360, it's X; on PC, I think it's spacebar or escape by default.
No, the DLC quests are not just a tiny activation file—unless 700 MB is suddenly "tiny".
18? If only. In the US you need to wait until you're 21. :(
