I love the conspiracy-supportive/. description, too. There "seems to have been" a fire. Like it took a detective to figure that out, and it's still debated on whether or not shit went up in flames.
Aren't you guys tired of crying, whining, and bitching about open source yet? For fuck sakes, give it a rest. Everytime MS is mentioned you people try to make some joke about crashing, blue screens, etc. You completely overlook the context of the article and go straight into a tirade about proprietary technology. You're surrounded by people who support your view, so what's the point?
I had a similiar problem with cafepress back in 2000. I used to own the largest ford escort site on the net, and when we tried to print up a calendar and posters, we got bitch slapped by CafePress as well. After contacting cafepress they told me that I did not own the trademark to the vehicles in question and that they were not printing in order TO AVOID A POTENTIAL LAWSUIT.
I seriously doubt Ford contacted them. I had Ford.com IP addresses in my logs for YEARS without ever being contacted by Ford.
Actually, the rednecks all live on the interior, and Orlando has a crime rate that rivals st. louis and detroit.
We'll only be flooding out the old people in naples, the cubans in miami (they're crafty though, they'll be fine), the gangs in st pete, the white trash in daytona... come to think of it... go ahead and flood it.
I have relatives in tampa (grew up there), but they can come stay with me in cali.:)
Right.... and how much you wanna bet that they monitor traffic to the actual.com in the process? If the traffic is high, and the domain wasnt bought, they keep it and auction it...
Man, how shady can these domain companies get? DO SOMETHING, ICANN!
How many times in a day are you on the internet without even knowing it? What about sending a text message? Playing xbox live? Adobe spyware? Taking the exam at the DMV?
Please! Someone think of the children!
We need to stop looking at "sex offenders" and "pedophiles" as the same thing. I think I'd be more concerned about someone pulling a gun and robbing me than I would be concerned about someone rubbing one out with the window open.
The point is, if someone has paid for their crime and been determined as a free person, they should be free. They shouldn't be subject to preemptive vigilante justice by having their entire lies ruined because of a label the government has put on them.
the acid test is not a standards compliance test... it's a test of how well browsers break on sites that DONT support standards. It's not a measure of standards support for the browser, but it is nice to have.
I run OSX. I don't have an OS that crashes all the time... and it's not linux; I don't have to spend 95% of my day configuring my fucking OS.
No! It has to be a conspiracy!

Jesus... jsut get on with your day already.
Welp, I stand corrected.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sony owns blu-ray entirely... HD-DVD is the one with a consortium.
Didn't they already set one of these off in San Francisco?

You should try Orlando sometime.

It took me a second to get this... but now that I do, it's F'n hilarious. Easily one of the most overlooked comments on slashdot in 2008.
Yes, but can it run on USB power?
It's a shame they haven't been like... advertising for it. Compared to Blu-Ray, hardly anyone has even heard of it.
Regardless, I'm holding out until the next big thing (tm).
My sony mylo has had this for over a year... what took them so long?
The asteroid will bust through the surface crust, exposting Mars' nougatty, caramel-filled center.
Yummy.
What defines "using the internet"?

dude... you don't even have to RTFA to figure this one out. The description says "they've been redesigning laptops to fit them"...
Someone has penis envy.
Just because the new KITT is that much faster, doesnt mean you gotta go and get all jealous and shit.
What's to stop anyone at circuit city from just... putting illegal stuff on your machine and then calling the cops?

If no one else is using it, can I?
Bow before me. I am Brontosaurus. Frickin' sweet!
The algorithm is never wrong.
lol.
The sad thing is, I'm cheering them on... I want them to get it right.
If you translate that to american... it's a pretty funny sentence. :)
It should look fine in IE... it *is* a table.
... who on earth would do such a thing?
