    Try importing 1,000 tracks across a wireless (802.11b) network. iTunes takes about 10 minutes. Winamp takes all of 30 seconds. WTF is iTunes doing?

    After the last mess that ensued from posting my FTP site on slashdot, I think I'll just have to make do. You're not trying to say that I shouldn't trust Linus are you? Look at the great Norwegian group that just qualified for the Eurovision. I'd trust them with my backup any day, no questions asked.

    Before I start, are those torrents iso's? Its far from obvious what OpenBSD_3_7_amd64-2005-05-19-1824.torrent might be. A CVS snapshot? A BoF? what ever happened to informing people what they might be downloading? Even OpenBSD_3_7_amd64-2005-05-19-1824.iso.torrent (or whatever) would be better. What exactly are the linked torrents?

    Sorry. I'm not an American. All I've noticed about your last two elections is that you guys enjoy parties and like the choice to be able to vote for one of two identical candidates / parties.

    Again - how can one state dictate choice / policy to the other fifty? Florida isn't exactly big by any measure unless you count swamp or old people.

    What beats me is how you got modded insightful. Where does the OP turn Cuba into a beacon of freedom? All he stated were facts - unless you care to deny (nd back up with facts) that the US has not tried to bring Cuba / Castro down multiple times? Whether doing so is right or wrong is not the argument here.

    IMO, Martin's books are the most amazing contribution to fantasy since Tolkien (and they're better than Tolkien's groundbreaking but uneven work).

    Close, but IMO you're out by one. Steven Eriksons 'Tales of the Malazan Books of the Fallen' are above even Martins genius. If you haven't tried them out, do so immediately. First book can be difficult at times, but after that its all completely mesmerizing.

    Why don't they just pick one? How does entering another license into the fray solve the problem with there being too many?
