    This sentence makes me throw up inside.

  5. As a user you have to spot the error and report it. If the amount of money stolen is small enough, you likely won't notice.

    They eat the error only AFTER damage has been done.
    It's little consolation if you get your money back after a few months, meanwhile being unable to make purchases.
    Lots of people life on a budget that fluctuates around zero.
    Correcting a mistake afterwards is not the same as now allowing mistakes in the first place.

    It's like being the victim of burglary; the insurance company will "eat the error", but meanwhile you have no use of what should have still been your property.

    It does not communicate the same information.

    In fact, that sentence implies an entirely different meaning; as if all patients had to come in, not just if they wanted to obtain results.

    I agree that the original sentence is a bit messy to look at, but it is more correct than your alternative.
    Perhaps something like "Patients have had to come in for results in person" would have been nicer.

    Does the second amendment say anything about taking along your gun whenever and wherever with you, if you're not actively part of such a well regulated militia?
    There's nothing that says they shouldn't remain locked up safely in their houses for if/when the time for such a militia comes.

  22. What do you mean by "pointing out their gender"? My avatar on Github is just a portrait photo of me, looking like the guy I am.
    If a women is using a portrait of herself as her avatar, does that count as "pointing out their gender" or is it simply a portrait photo?

    Are you going to try to get back projects?
    The problem SourceForge has is that it may indeed be too little too late, in quite a literal way.
    Many big project have already moved and even without DevShare, there is little incentive for them to move back.
    I had a number of mostly inactive projects that I moved from SourceForge to GitHub several months ago, due to DevShare, and since they were mostly inactive it wouldn't be very hard to just move back again, as the repositories haven't changed since the move.
    But for projects that receive regular updates it may be too much effort for not enough reason.

    If you remove the speed limits, most people will probably drive at most a few dozen km/h faster, but a few aggressive little bitches will want to go 300 km/h everywhere all the time. Road safety isn't about those kinds of people, it's about the safety of whoever they're about to murder.
