I have heard from some sources that you will need to download this file called a "binary" and run it. Even worse this so called "binary" will only run on selected systems AND you have no access to the source !!!!111 Its like it is pre-compiled or something !!!!11
Not to mention the fact that if the password is 15 random characters long ( no u/l case or number ) it would take 25^15 or 931322574615478515625 attempts to brute force . Even if it could be done in a single clock cycle at 2GHz it would take.. 931322574615478515625/2000000000 seconds which is about 15000 years.
But this would require a password of decent length ( some of mine are this long ) and a algorithm that is secure. Plus getting access to the hash itself would be a problem.
I'm using Firefox 1.0 MOOX M2 and Windows 98 SE and it didnt seem to be affecting me...... On Firefox 1.0 Slackware 10.0 kernel 2.6.9 it didnt work either. Also Windows 98 SE IE 6 SP1 does not appear to be affected.
Affecting all browsers my foot, it is just a load of FUD.
First we had KDE and its KOffice , Konsole , KCalc , etc
then we had Google and its Gmail , Froogle , Gbrowser , etc
Now we have Firefox with Thunderbird , etc....
Hmm
Before you know it you will have MS Windows with MS Office and MS Halo and MS Internet Explorer , and... ohh.
there do seem to be alot of codecs, or music devices that arent taking off even though they were predicted to be very popular. I personally wont go round convertng all my FLACs to MP3 surround untill there is some prove that this is a very good format.
I guess that it is a very good thing when the Open Source community is more interested in making sure that the software that they are developing is fast , clean , and secure than being overly laden with features. But still we do need to push forward and keeping this careful balance between stability and features is a hard thing indeed.
The ppl who would be changing bytes via a hex editor should/would know what they are doing , running a patch from Microsoft is something that just about everbody should be able to do ( and has to do to stop their computer from being h4ck3d ). A hex editor is aimed at sys admins/geeks, patches however are aimed at Joe Public so thus they should be idiot profe because some of the people they are aimed at are idiots.
Just remember 50% of people have below average IQ !!
Because VB and it's syntax is very hard for it to be fully implemeted.
What OS are you planning on using ?
If you are going to be using Windows at will be more user friendly but low-level IOs maybe a problem.
But Linux may be hard to set up it you are unfimilar with it, even though there would be alot of advantages with the flexibility with it.
MS windows emulator on a peice of MS hardware .... nice

Yeah also locks up firefox aswell, is JScript too powerful or something to be used safely ?
On IE that code will make the browse lock-up after about 5 seconds , but it crashes with out bringing down the system.
Ohh wait .... heck the ****ing thing does hijack the popup !!

I wouldn't have a problem with doctypes missing but stuff like
The sensors ( well the ones arround where i live ) will work even with ( push- ) bikes, not to sure if they will detect aluminum ones though
