If it uses pixels, that sucks. If it uses ems, it's not so bad, and is actually a good way of keeping the code clean while still allowing folks with high-rez monitors to use it easily.

Don't even joke about that - Acrobat is slow, buggy, crash-prone, backwards-combatible. And on Windows (yes, I have to use it sometimes), it always tries to install something called "Microsoft Journal Viewer". PDFs suck ass for web presentation - although they are nice for non-live stuff.
Nicotine is bad for you. Lethal, too, at relatively small doses - it's used in some Roach Motels. The idea behind this is that at least you're getting rid of the tar.
I've experienced that. It sucks, too, 'cuz if you're with a group, and someone is smoking right next to you and you ask 'em to stop, they'll ignore you or start bitching about how you're violating their right to smoke.
I haven't seen that discredited, but for the sake of argument... even if 2-hand isn't carcinogenic, it gives me (and tons of other people) horrible allergic reactions (ok, technically it's an "irritant", not an "allergen", but it's the same thing). And I don't even have asthma.
I'm in the educational system now (high school), and I hear about the Japanese internment camps every year. I agree, though, that every era has some educational cover up.

Anti-radiation missiles? WTF? You'd have two choices: EMP warhead, or conventional/nuclear warheads. There's no such thing as an anti-radiation missile. You're right, though, about the jammer being a target. Remember Command & Conquer, or any game with mobile/stationary jammers? That was the first place you bombed/nuked/sent a spy to.
I have to add a friggin' vhost to install the thing. Now, granted, that is the Right Way to use GForge, but I just want to run a few small projects, and I'd much rather just plop it in at http://example.com/gforge, or even http://example.com/~gforge.

Besides, I don't think we are aborting babies for this. Correct me if I'm wrong but we are getting stems cells that are otherwise discarded in miscarriages and similar, right?
That's the idea. Aborted fetuses are not suitable for these purposes, as I understand it. IVF embryos are much better. But since *all* new stem cell lines won't get federal funding...

Not just rural. I live in one of the most conservative counties in the country. Used to be you could use Democratic signs as landmarks ("turn left at the Gore sign, then right at the next light"). Fortunately, now there are a significant number of Democratic signs - and a few 3rd party signs, too. GOP signs are still in the majority, though.
