Fisheries and Wildlife are the ones to watch out for... I heard they were being bolted into the Police - wonder if they get to take their powers with them...
Should that not be "incorrectly", "comprehension" and "appear"? Additionally the clause "they appeare like genuine lack of knowledge of the English language" is simply shoddy, plainly written by the least erudite of all ignorami.
Yes, clearly you do make errors now - or at least then.
I'm kinda curious, if its contactless, which one of the 6 or 7 cards I have will be billed? If I have to push it up against a scanner (like the OysterCard) then I still need to take it out of the wallet, thus minimising any potential benefit.
All seems a little suspect to me, unless this just goes hand in had with an rfid type bio insert that acts in conjunction with the card...
Interestingly in the UK they are replacing cards with a 'chip and pin' - instead of signing a chit you just tap in a pin code (like at the atm).
This is to reduce fraud. And I for one am convinced it will work... after all, if there is no signature to compare it with how are you going to prove it wasn't you who bought the £200 worth of groceries, dvds, booze.
Presumably at some point they will then want to roll it out for online purposes in order to reduce cardholder not present fraud...
And don't get me started on the ID cards... eventually no doubt the chip on the credit card will encode the Id Number on the ID card... work out the consequences of that one.
Indeed.
But sending aluminium ships to war is a bit off too, as the Brits found out in the Falklands in 82. Aluminium tends to burn much like magnesium, making it ideal for troop transports.
Oh - btw: thanks USA, our Special Friend, for supporting us when our territory was so aggressively invaded...
Interestingly there was an occasion in the 1300's they burned so many jews in a market place in 'germany' that an inch of human fat was deposited on the houses downwind.
England in the 1300's managed to totally expel or execute pretty much all its Jews.
Its not a new thing.
Oh - and btw the Germans partly got pasted in Russia as mr Hitler decided in his infinite wisdom NOT to issue winter uniforms as that would encourage the trooops to win quicker...
"Why not just release it simultaneously worldwide? "
Oh - you mean like the average US produced movie?
Get over it - we usually have to wait over a month to see your lame hand me down movies.

Anyone else notice that the most exciting part of the story is the authors quiet use of timetravel technology? Apparently he wrote the article in June 2004.
Is it really John Titor back again?
Presumably they will recycle the same old phrases that were trotted out the last couple of times the century came round...

Indeed, but then Theft is a legal definition not a linguistic one.
Is that salary before tax? Or do you pay income tax in a lump sum at the end of the year?
