    No. Bends is caused by a rapid reduction in pressure, hence its proper name, decompression sickness.

    Nitrogen asphyxiation wouldn't involve any such pressure change, as it would involve a normal air pressure chamber, just without enough oxygen.

    Graf Zeppelin was 770 ft long, carried 40 crew and 20 passengers. (Note that an American football field is 300 ft from goal line to goal line.) Boeing 747-400 is 230 ft long, carries somewhere between 400 and 600 passengers.

    That's not quite an accurate comparison. Unlike the 747, the Zeppelin had cabins and a dining room.

    How many modern airliner seats would fit in 71x22ft?

    This waste is mostly from making nuclear weapons, not from nuclear power (they did produce electricity, but mostly as a side-effect). This place produced most of the USA's plutonium, and making weapons-grade plutonium isn't a tidy process.

    Right now, over half of each barrel of oil goes for about 6,000 non-fuel products:

    Incorrect. Half of it goes to something other than road gasoline and that half contains a lot of other fuels.

    Once you account for aviation gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, propane, heating oil, etc. you end up about 7% of it going to non-fuel uses.

    Synthetic carbon-neutral jet fuel produced from hydrogen and CO2 is a possibility.

    The US Navy is currently working on it.

    Creative designs. There has been some progress made on making supersonic aircraft quieter, like the NASA's Shaped Sonic Boom Demonstration and Quiet Spike.

    No, the Canadian nickel hasn't been solid nickel for decades. It switched to 75-25 copper-nickel in 1982, and then to nickel-plated steel in 2000.

    With the exception of the centre of the toonie, all current Canadian coinage is steel coated in nickel with some whizz-bang patented multi-ply plating process to make counterfeiting difficult.

    I bet there is a good chance the Michigan Supreme Court would either strike down the law, or allow a referendum to proceed against the portions of the bill that are not appropriations.
