As time goes on the whole country and even the world becomes more self-absorbed by day. The usual suspects are even showing up here, the right calling out the left, the left calling out the right, Baby Boomers calling out millennial as self absorbed and entitled when baby boomers are the most self absorbed and entitled generation in human history while the selfie obsessed Millennials never fail to point this out.
It applies EVERYWHERE, screw you all, and screw/. for letting this obvious vapid click bait onto the front page when it belongs on Facebook.
Most of my school days we had Apple ][ in my classroom or computer lab since the fourth grade. It didn't matter much because no one knew how to use the stupid things and couldn't answer the simplest question, like "Where are the manuals?" for example. With the exception of one night a week after school we were also forbidden to touch them in school.
I eventually got a PC at home and never looked back, so out of 7 years of K-12 access to an Apple ][, I have absolutely no brand loyalty to Apple but neither did Apple. By time I got to High School the Apple ][ was a dead product that was still being manufactured as far as I could tell. Sure it didn't officially die until the iMac but neither did the Amiga.
That doesn't necessarily invalidate the theory but I would point that the cloud app eco system is going to be seen by the students as rock bottom cheap Tonka Toy computers (which they are.) If they have any interest at all they bide their time until they can get their hands on a real computer, Macs for the hipsters, PC's for the gamers, and Linux for the nerds.
It's still pretty absurd when you think about it since this could just as easily read, "10% of All Software Developers in the World, Concentrated in 10 Mile Radius."
I have mixed feelings about this. Not a big fan of hate speach but I can't imagine a system of implementation that would be remotely fair and not riddled with abuse.
I've always been suspicious of the Standard Model's insistence that the big bang consisted of nearly equal parts matter and antimatter. The assumptions made by observation of certain particle collisions need to be reevaluated.
Much of this seems to because of a belief that time is single dimensional and that mass has no effect on the flow of time, although if you really look at relativity and quantum phenomenon it is obvious that neither of these is the case.
Instead we invent the artifacts of dark matter and dark energy to explain away inconsistencies that these assumptions make.
This makes sense considering the extent of data collection in what appears to be a leak from a Verizon employee on all caller data from all calls made in the US. Since we can assume that all carriers have received similar secret orders to turn over all customer data they would need to expand their data processing capability.
..because the rich man has been engaging in price fixing for wages for the last thirty years across all areas of the economy except executive compensation.
Professor Sheldon H. Jacobson Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois also achieved stunning success with a Bayesian model. Those numbers were 50 out of 51 states (including DC) determined correctly. Reported here Here
Some are mobsters. When you look at how false antivirus malware proliferates and fleeces the unsuspecting public and even holds their computer for ransom. You can't help but see similarity in how they operate in function and philosophy to organized crime. They will undoubtedly push this through with this in mind.
Of course without limits on who is eligible every 12 year old with a LOIC download could find themselves with punishments far in excess of their crimes. Make no mistake many who support this intend to use this on the civil dissidents of anonymous every bit as much as cyber gangs of card cloners or bank hackers. To the detriment of liberty for us all.
It's hard for me to image hating anyone more then BofA and AT&T. IMO this probably has something to do with their perverse campaign to always look for ways around any privacy wishes their users may have and their blatant attempts to circumvent the privacy settings the users have already set.
Phones get stolen. If they're willing to steal your phone then they're willing to break into your house especially if they know when you won't be home.
Also if your employer gives you an iPhone then they can make you sync on a work computer which they do have access to.
Come on guys ninth isn't so bad. At least compared to where we stand on education, health care, median income, disposable income of working class, access to health care, rate of higher education completion or distribution of wealth. Hell ninth in broadband isn't bad at all.
And so apparently did George Hotz. This the best case you could have against an Anti-Circumvention suit. Really he could argue that all he was doing was restoring features Sony removed from the PS3 (after many customers bought it) and the fact that he took several anti-piracy stances on his website only helps. I hope it goes all the way to the supreme court.
I was totally about to fly off the handle on this one too complete with a call for revolution and painting the streets with the blood of the bourgeoisie. *sigh* Maybe next time.
This is actually a pretty common practice and compared to the same copyrights in the US the fees are actually rather reasonable.
This whole software patent thing is completely unsustainable. It's eventually going to get to a point where even the megafirms like Google, Apple, Microsoft etc will simply be unable to do any business at all. I'm hopeful that the whole thing implodes soon.

87% of American workers are stupid. News at 11.
Maybe you should read all seven of his books since Adam Smith was anti-capitalist.

Because this is how you get Terminators, GM.

It's not evil to fight the devil.
I say again, yay! About friggin time.

Consider the horrible training conditions the Pokemon must go through in their entirely fictional training camps. http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/06/20

You're right. I forgot they rolled the app store out for the Mac a few weeks ago. Comment withdrawn.
I have yet to have someone show me a "cool" app on an iPhone that wasn't an applet.
I've been telling all of my non-geek friends that when Apple says application they really mean applet, and the rest is just marketing BS.
Where are the criminal charges? Last time I checked phishing was illegal.
