  1. Nice timing on No Half-Life 2 on Steam? · · Score: 1

A mid November release would put it on the shelves just in time for Christmas. Funny that...

There really was no way that the game was ever going to be released in the summer, Valve & Vivendi have poured too much money into the project to release it any time other than for the Christmas rush. If I were the conspiracy theory type I'd suggest that they'd done a great job of keeping the masses salivating and expecting an imminent release...

"Sorry but MIT, Apple, etc, as much as I respect their contributions to the human race, do not need a Class A. Allow for the redistribution of the IPs and we should be good to go for quite some time."

I didn't realise these guys were sitting on so many damn IPs. At least they are probably using a chunk of them. I can't imagine what El Lilly and dastardly megacorp Halliburton are doing with a class As.

I've heard of the evil bit before but not the evil network...

But I presume it's a single layer recorder. Think I'll wait for one that's not already obselete!

You'd have to be extremely nimble to load a new DVD disc every four seconds.

On the other hand I knoew all that gameboy tetris practice would come in handy some day

A password of "gaben"!! It looks like he hasn't even learned the basics of network security following Valve's network breach

  8. Re:3D Realms? on Life After Doom · · Score: 1

I doubt 3D Realms would ever license the D3 engine. If only because I'm even starting to doubt the existence of 3D Realms themselves.

I can now reveal to your delight... the developer is Splash Damage. They have been proudly boasting this for a week or so and are even hiring people to work with it (check out their site if your good with polygons 'n' stuff).

SD are the legends behind what is for me the best damn team based shooter of all time, Enemy Territory.

Can this really be? A slashdot post suggesting Microsoft's implementations are better than those of open standard? And Rated more than a two as well... I think my connection is playing up again.
