I just hope that it can push the elderly down stairs. With the elderly becomming a larger sgement of the Japanese population, SOMETHING needs to be done.
I hear Alpha Centauri is pretty safe. It use to be Mars was safe (and it's conveniently closeby), but unfortunately America has set it's eyes on it, so it won't be safe for much longer. I wouldn't bother with it.
to work for yourself. Being self employed is very hard but rewarding.:)
I'll say. It was difficult for me firing myself for sleeping on the job the other day. But I managed it. I started out the letter with "This will be harder for me then it is for you."
Wow. Umm... The Chinese government, work for hire. Can we get the Canadian government to now work on our laws? That'd rock. And we could outsource our war-mongering branch of the government to the Soviet Union.
Customer: I lost my card and/or pin number. Can I get a replacement.
Bank: Sure, we just need you to prove that you are the owner of the account. What's your card number?
Customer: How the fuck am I suppose to know? It's on the card which I've lost.
Bank: Alright, name 3 transfers in the last month.
Customer: I haven't used my account in 2 months.
Bank: I'm sorry, we can't verify you're the owner. We'd ask your name, address and photo id, but we can no longer keep those details about you. You're 4,000 is ours.
Or if they have the card, there's no proof they're the owner (if they forgot the pin and don't have the recent transfers). Yes, not everyone uses their accounts a lot, and often forget transfers they've made and the amount it was for.
Oh that's it! I'm going to branch off and improve your code! But... if you implement any security patches, I demand you don't release them until I've had a chance to implement them first. Okay?
Thanks but no thanks. I have enough trouble making my family wash their hands after eating before hopping on the conole/computer. I don't want to have to contend with something a hundred strangers used while eating.
I have a buddy like that. He's in his mid 20's and unfortunately due to a lot of over mothering, the poor bastard missed out on a lot of the growing experiences we should all go through.
This isn't a replacement for good parenting, it's something that will let good parents be better parents.Sounds like a recipe to make over mothering easier to me. Here's an idea, if you want to control what your kid eats, prepare their food for them. But what if they sell it (ha!), or refuse to eat it (which they can do with whatever you make them buy), you've got bigger problems then whether or not they're buying a hot-dog or a tofu salad.
It's amazing this "big problem" isn't solved by a simple, low-tech solution of giving children food, not money to take to school. Then again, that requires the parent to have to do some work, like prepare the food (rather then click on a browser which takes a lot less time). Silly me.
Imagine if that logic was applied to other things, like the space industry. We're going to ignore anything that doesn't let us reach a star (not Sol) in less then an Earth year. So any advancements in spaceships that let more people travel within the solar system faster, will be ignored in our goal to reach another star in a reasonable amount of time.
Or we could instead reach for the stars, but not ignore things that are good "for now."
This biodeisel might be good "for now" as we search for a viable, clean source of energy. I don't think it's a good idea to disregard it, merely because it isn't perfect. It might be better then what we've got now.
Judges and prosecutors hate that, and will often refuse a juror if he mentions knowledge of the statute.
That's just sick. America's ruling caste yet again doing it's best to see the lower caste kept in ignorance, and punishing those that don't display enough ignorance.
Then only read novels and comic books involving the backstory. If you don't want to see a portion of the Star Wars saga in a particular medium, don't view it in that medium, even if it's made. If you want to get the story without viewing the movie, you can even buy the novelizations (as bad as they'll be). No-one's forcing you to go see the movie.
I disagree. Xbox really missed the mark with the RPG genre. It had 9 (and these are questionable) RPGs, whereas the PS2 had many many more RPGs (at the very least, 9 definite RPGs;)). In contrast, Xbox 360 has 2 real RPGs while the PS3 has none. It's still early days yet, but it appears Microsoft has learnt that real RPGs are important, and is working to enter this market.
Patent infringement is not a crime
Yet.
That isn't American dollars. He "only" got $1,166,448
"Damn! Should have settled. They were offering me $10 million."
I just hope that it can push the elderly down stairs. With the elderly becomming a larger sgement of the Japanese population, SOMETHING needs to be done.
I tried that, but it didn't work

With all the merchandising you would have been correct.
Self-employed?

Who watches the metawatchers?
When I talk on the company phone ... I do not expect someone to be listening to my every conversation
You might not expect it, but depending where you work it's quite possible (perhaps even likely) some of your phone calls may be listened to.

Food+games=sticky consoles.

He's too old to be doing all the sunts they'll make him do. No old guy is going to really do what they'll make Ford pretend to do.

And there was also a Time Traveller convention. Co-incidence? I think not.

If you don't want another three, don't watch it if they're made. Simple as that. Just because it's made, doesn't mean you have to watch it.
Either console will have great games.

PalmOS is like the Apple of the business. It may not be the cheapest (but often is). It may not be in the lead marketshare-wise (but currently is).
So in retrospect it really isn't like Apple, is it?
