    mmm. getting it to integrate with stable lightning...
    btw, how hard was it to install zimbra ?
    i remember that installing openxchange was pretty awful experience.
    i'm somewhat concerned by the fact that some pretty important parts (mostly backup/restore of individual mailboxes) is not currently avilable under opensource licence (though i understand they have to motivate purchases somehow :) ). are you using opensource edition ?

    ahh. thanks. slackware development model is painfully closed, so i'm glad to learn that there will be at least one stable release with 2.4 and at least some vague approximate date for 2.6 march :)

    ...not to mention that 2.6.15 was not considered stable even by developers until 2.6.16 came out (which was just now).
    remember that now latest not-rc-git-whatever is testing and one before that is stable. which pretty much sucks for corporate world or for anyone who likes stability.

    hmm. i am burning cd's as non-root users for quite some time with k3b without ide-scsi.
    try running k3bsetup and following instructions/steps there. that should set some permissions required.

    there's a game my gf was just keeping on playing (and dragging me into it) - dr drago's madcap chase.

    it's something between monopoly and... and... ahh, whatever :)

    it was mentioned that gnome has more or less dealt with this problem, i'll add that it works in kde quite qell, too - you can even set an automatic 'focus stealing prevention level' (kcontrol->desktop->window behaviour->advanced).
    oh, and then you can set individual rules for individual windows. which allows you to control almost every aspect of window behaviour - and everything from gui.

    but they should definitley change that screenshot from microsoft internet explorer to firefox. makes me wonder, why it takes them so long ? will it take that long to fix security vulnerabilities, too ? i'm shocked, really.

    second, we still have novell 3.x and 4.x running (and only now are swapping them out). nice, i would say.

    there was a comment here. on slashdot, supposedly by ibm employee that ibm already have some testing version of notes client for linux. now, that is double-rumour and i haven't heard anything more about it.

    hmm. i have set up a testing 10.0 suse box. i chose "hostnames" from yast and it saw my hand-made entry i had added with yast already running. supposedly all other yast modules should honour any additional changes in configuration files, at least it did with samba config and some other i have tried.

    i haven't used/played around with suse long enough to know how old this behaviour is.

    even though there would be no preinstalled linux distribution, that still would be much, much better. lately a lot of people around me are grabbing different distros and installing them on their home computers - either just to play with them, use them as a backup when their windows (pirated) installation is unusable and they have no time to reinstall, or - to use some app that is not available on windoes (amarok ;) ).

    the surprising thing is, these mostly are people who know little about computers and do not claim to know much (most don't have an idea what the bios is, less it's version or upgrading). now, the biggest resistance comes from those who supposedly know something about windows (mostly it's reinstalling and getting pirated software for it) and fear showing that they might not know something.
    the funny thing is, those who have at least some parts of their software equipment legally bought, are more willing to try out lin than those who have not bought a single software package in their life.

    well, that sounds reasonable :)
    if there is no way to reproduce this for somebody else, it is hard to find the cause.
    the issue probably contained some additional information, including video card, mb chipset, drivers used etc - maybe you can paste a link to it so that we can continue gathering info ?

    i haven't heard term 'column blocking' - usually it is called 'vertical selection', 'selection of a rectangular block/region' or some other combination of these words :)
