Unless there's some optimisation of drivers? I've not had any problems with a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit on my MacBookPro multibody using Bootcamp 3.0.1 on Snow Leopard.
What problems have people had?
I have a computer which does all that, I didn't study computer science, and I have spent a small enough amount of time on it to still have a girlfriend.
It runs the pretty version of *nix
an IT team if securing Windows. OS X is a piece of piss.
I learnt to program looking over the shoulder of an autistic pianist using a Commodore Pet, and that's about as much formal training as I've had.
1) I can still write in a diary quicker than I can add an appointment in a PDA. I can access that information at roughly the same speed. Same goes for telephone numbers. I have never had the batteries fail with a paper diary, losing my information. I'm about as likely to lose my diary as I am a PDA.
2) I take my 12" Powerbook to work.
3) There's something a bit, well, "rigid and machineish" about a machine bleeping at me when I have appointments, and I miss the analogue scribbling.
4) The PDA is very good as a GPS Navigation system for the car however and is relatively cost effective. The iPod similarly is very good for the car, with an iTrip on top.
Summarily, I have begun questioning the use of new technology for everything, some things are just good, quick and intuitive in the analogue world.
"Fiddly"
or better off using our bulbous primate minds in the pursuit of material 'higher level issues'?
Most of our human endeavour is purely fetishistic mating ritual with added false reasoning.
Which is exactly the point, to develop a complex prosperous society requires increasing levels of trust financially.
Most developing countries work on a high degree of extended family collectivism and not individualism.
Commerce with developing countries is inherently about us gaining what we desire at minimum cost so that we can benefit from arbitrage. That's why you and I have more toys.
I agree that inroducing advantageous survival memes into a population allows it to develop independently, but is hi tech the way to go? And is the western model necessarily the zenith?
Also, if the whole world becomes prosperous where are you going to get cheap oil, coffee, and tea from?
I stayed with a family in the Amazon for a month, who had nothing and everything, but mostly happiness.
I'll send $18m to The University of Nigeria, but I must trust you my godfearing friend, please send $2000 as an escrow fee to my barrister BarristerJohn@yahoo.com and a picture of yourself holding up a sign with the password "Iblow Hossis". Oh and put a fish on your head too.

we should be sending more money to Prince Mbeke Mbolu in Nigeria to help them release all those $18M funds that are held in deceased's bank accounts. Then we can give 10% back to the Nigerian Univeristies.

doing themselves out of a job by developing smart systems? Perhaps erm...they should be using unreliable complex tools, maybe um...Visual Studio?
woo yeah......
Sounds a bit more like Von Recklinghausen's disease to me, rather than anything else.
This would have never happened in the 70s. I only hate two things - incest and Morris dancing
(Now that has got to give me better Karma)
That they use in call centres. Just a beautiful distortion. Reminds me of my youthful days in India with the memsahib.....

people just need clean water, sanitation, medicines, and basic schooling first? I'm sure a few copies of Tux Racer can wait.
