I've read of 3d scanners that fill the whole area with material and make only the material that's wanted melt/glue/whatever together. The loose material would support the body until the leg connections are printed, afterwards it is filled back into the raw material storage.
I doubt that'll work, the ESRB won't like it (i.e. fine Rockstar), the console manufacturers might get them for breach of contract and retailers won't want it anymore after it gets uprated. Never mind they'll have to issue a recall because the game carries the ESRB mark with a rating that does not fit which is a trademark violation or something.
We've been taught in Human Computer Interaction that the more often an event occurs the less likely the user will care. It's stupid to ask the user "are you sure", he's always sure when he's doing that. He's probably no longer sure a few minutes later so it's more important to let him undo rather than asking him every time he does anything.
Yeah but if it's successful in duping the user into doing that it's stupid to herald the admin password as some sort of panacea for all security problems.
When you get bugs installed by the police for surveillance they don't knock on your door and ask you to cooperate, they enter your home in your absense and install what they need to.
Isn't it kinda useless to let someone review a game when he doesn't like the genre? I hate stealth games, if I were to review Thief or Metal Gear Solid I'd score them low simply because I don't like the genre and get annoyed by the gameplay but someone who likes it (and really, who else would be interested in a review in first place?) would gain nothing from the review.
A problem with a direct buy/rent rating is that people's thresholds differ. Some might buy an 8/10 game at full price while others will wait for the bargain bin or maybe not even have enough time to play anything less than a 9/10.
The score is based on gut-feeling, not any real measurements. They aren't very comparable especially when you have a different genre or reviewer.
What I'd like to see is different scores for different people if warranted, I've seen some reviews say "add 10 to the score if you like XY" or downrate sequels because they're not that much better than the previous game. I think it'd be warranted to give up to 2-3 scores for different buyers (people who have/haven't bought the previous game, people who like their RPGs with a story, people who like hack&slay, etc). It doesn't really matter if you rate it 8 out of 10, 82 out of 100 or foot out of mouth, more often the score becomes inaccurate because it has to be average over all buyers instead of specific to a certain kind so games like Wii Sports get low scores because, while they're great for some users, they lack appeal to some others so the reviewer feels the need to average.
Actually we don't even use bombs that size because it's just expensive overkill, doing more damage to the atmosphere and planet than to the target you were aiming at. It's more effective to use a missile with a crapload of small warheads that can be targetted individually so you know you hit what you were aiming for and aren't restricted to placing a circle of damage in one point that has to contain all targets. Also as crappy as modern anti-ICBM weapons are, they're still more likely to take down a single, huge warhead than a swarm of tiny ones, probably with decoys scattered in.
The pen is mightier than the sword: Often propaganda will work better than overt force. Shackle a man's hands and he will try to break free, shackle his mind and he will never consider it.
This is the reason I consider false or sensationalist news more dangerous to the wellbeing of society than terrorism.
Well, this is a robotics competition, usually these require realtime systems so if it's getting used it can probably work well with realtime constraints.
Here in Germany we have a list of traits that must not be discriminated upon. It's easy to write a list that includes important things like race and gender without including, say, heroin addictions.
Isn't there some provision that prevents laws from only applying to certain groups of the populace (for groups that are defined by prejudiced criteria, criminals and such are fair game but laws about jews, blacks, etc not), i.e. a law either applies to everyone or noone?
You refuse to lower the settings when you're getting FPS in the single digits? I think that's a clear case of PEBKAC.
BTW, World in Conflict runs perfectly on my 6800, you just have to lower the details a bit. I think C&C3 even runs at high detail on that card. Seriously, those two aren't very demanding. If you want a framerate killer try Supreme Commander.

So is 3.) spill it on your lap?

Honestly I think they're more interested in the kiddie porn collectors than terrorists.
Why read fiction? Why talk about dystopias? 1984 happened just a bit to the east of the Berlin Wall.
Or a torpedo, for that matter...
Actually from what I've seen 70% ratings equal 3 stars. Warranted, IMO: The game is flawed but still fun to play.

Why are you discounting modern point & click adventures?
In a conversation I answer and people react to my answers, they don't act out a script completely ignorant of what I'm doing.
Terry Pratchett has never seen a Soviet spy wielding a pen.

Same thing, different name.
I bet if there was a "burn them all" option on the ballot voter turnout would skyrocket.
I guess whoever modded that Troll doesn't realize what turning water into wine would entail.
