The policy was "no patches that don't affect online play". That's why they blocked the Thief 3 difficulty patch. I think it makes sense since only people who play online are likely to have access to downloadable patches.
Yes but that ingame money is usually earned in the game. I guess it would be way too unbalancing if the unlocks made those new and powerful things free for the player in the game. Imagine replaying the game and no longer needing to save money because the most powerful weapons are free.
Why should Microsoft interfere? If the price is too high the publisher will pretty quickly notice the lack of sales. Microsoft isn't Sony, they aren't forcing their perception of what a game is worth upon others.
Few console games have only one language on the disc (unless that language is English), almost every console game bought e.g. in Germany can be set to display everything in English. Voice acting isn't translated anyway, apparently five months between the US and EU release is not enough to do that.
Occassionally cheaper (has loads of discounted items), sometimes more expensive and a much larger selection. Downsides are no free shipping on anything (though shipping is dirt cheap) and can't use EU bank transfers (Lik-Sang had an account in Germany and allowed direct debiting for people in the country, convenient and fast), you have to use Moneybookers which isn't expensive but adds some time to the ordering process. Since Moneybookers takes more attention and time I prefer ordering from Lik-Sang when all other things are equal.
One person boycotting won't make a dent just as one person voting doesn't make a dent but there's not just one person deciding whether to do each, there's many more and everyone who reaches the conclusion that he can't do anything and drops out is a loss for the rest. If any potential boycotter thinks it's pointless there won't be anyone boycotting and future boycotters will think "noone's boycotting, why should I?". Someone has to start. If that's me, so be it.
Hiring pirates to sink the shipment of PS3s to the US? I hear the russians sell some cheap submarines that could be used to torpedo freight ships once you know which ones transport the PS3s...
Most martial arts now train people how to disarm a person with a gun that gets too close. Unless the gunman stays more than two metres away at all times he'll very quickly look at the wrong end of his own gun.
And? IE6 users should be punished until they accept a browser that does not force web developers to implement all kinds of workarounds. Upgrading to XP may cost money but Firefox is free so they have no excuse. And someone running XP SP1 (or no SP) needs to get a clue and finally patch his system. If someone wants to stay on an old version that's their thing but we aren't going to go an extra mile just to accomodate their outdated software. We aren't writing out websites for Netscape 1.0 and we aren't going to write them for IE6 anymore.
Non smoking sections in restaurants usually consist of a sign hung in an arbitrary position witin a restaurant and are utterly worthless because one characteristic of smoke is that it cannot read.
I got Red Faction 2 bundled with a ValuSoft game for 5 Euros. The ValuSoft game was more fun to play. I think that adequately sums up my oppinion of the game. Though it's supposedly a bit better on the console because you can play it with multiple people on one screen (why isn't that option in the PC version?).
I nominate this for a pretty high ranking in the Worst Websites Outside Of Myspace list. Seriously, I had to turn off the CSS to avoid eyebleed and my system is already blocking GIFs and Flash, I don't even want to know what this would look like to some poor IE user.
If you think there's a market for PC games using four joypads (or at least enough to make a profit), be my guest. The more obvious approach would be to do something proven (i.e. no gross departure from established genres but still good enough to sell and most likely with your own "quirk" to get the sales) first before branching out into unproven markets. Or you just produce a good prototype on the PC and ask the console companies to reconsider, many companies take that approach.
But when the business is run from home all of the devices would be at one location and if all of them belong to the same person/business, shouldn't one fee cover them all?
I'm not putting them into superposition, MS can send a tech over to look at them himself!

People play Lumines for the graphics and music, not the gameplay.
I don't think it's all that broad or the media companies would have shut down used sales by using their trademarks easily.

If that was the case Sony would have sued them in a Chinese court over breach of contract instead of a British court over trademark infringement.

And it'll allow them to say to publishers "look how many PS3s we've sold, you should make a game for us!".

Doesn't make a difference, I wasn't watching any of those, wasn't buying music and certainly won't get a PS3 anyway.
I don't know where you live but 'round here most people draw a gun to intimidate and get them to hand over their valuables.
I don't get what people like about Shaun of the Dead, I thought that was about as funny as a sitcom, i.e. barely.
For the sake of irony I'd suggest an iron.

Well, did MS fix it in the meantime?

That sounds as fun as some of Videlectrix's offerings.
