Not only that, the X360 is much cheaper in Japan than in the US. I don't recall the exact number but I think it was 324$ for the Arm version (not the crippled Core one, that one's probably even cheaper).

Games? The only game that's worth buying seems to be PGR 3 and is that enough to buy a 400$ console for it? Sure, there's going to be more games in the future but that's not a reason to buy the system NOW.
New features of Live? Well, they're not that useful without games to play on Live.
New Controller? Perhaps but once again I wonder what that's going to help when you don't have any games.
Multimedia Capabilities? Um, is there anything new? Okay, so it takes streams from PCs but didn't some XBMC thingamajig add that to the XB already?

And while it looks better than the PS2 or XB it doesn't look 400$ worth of better.

Since that coalition formed they have announced that they will disregard the constitution regarding debts, now they're trying to violate the right on freedom of expression (the exception is ONLY for youth protection and a complete ban is NOT youth protection!). Couldn't this be construed as an attempt to destroy the federalistic democratic foundation of the country? I mean, those fuckers openly stated they will disregard the constitution, isn't that enough to immediately and forcefully disband their parties or at least the coalition?

If they think violent games pose a great threat to the peace of society they should immediately ban all religious scriptures and confiscate them, preferrably even disband all religious institutions, there are more people claiming "God made me do it" than those claiming "Counterstrike made me do it" so religion is obviously a greater threat to society than games, right? Wait, what's that, you've read the Bible and don't go on killing sprees, those wackos are just exceptions?

They have subsidiaries, Nintendo of America (NoA), Nintendo of Europe (NoE), Nintendo of Australia Ltd (NAL) and I think they even have one for New Zealand. The japanese main part is usually referred to as NCL (Nintendo Co Ltd). I'm not privvy with all that business stuff so I don't know if branches is the right word for those.

If they just let you download it without any restrictions, no one would buy the game, they would just get it from P2P or some site that sticks it up.

So what. So it takes maybe a day or two longer for the warez release to come out. Those who don't know how to go onto a warez site or grab it off P2P obviously wouldn't be able to even without copy protection.

And to me as the end user it does not fucking matter what they hope to accomplish with their DRM, all that matters is what it means to ME. And I've learned that those who simply warez the game have a much easier time with getting it to work than stupid old me who buys every game in a store in an age where people look at you funny when you tell them you pay for games.

By the way, to me it's worthless that I could theoretically download the game while paying for it with a credit card. I have no credit card and in my experience it's both faster and cheaper to just grab a physical copy and not bothering with all that download crap. Plus physical copies tend to hit the bargain bin sooner or later, price drops on downloads seem much rarer.
