Oh wait, it goes back even further

  3. But the vote WHERE changed. It changed how people voted. They did not hack the voting system. They hacked the voters. I am old enough to know that the most important part of hacking is social engineering.

The fact that you ALSO need to do the rest is true.

Do understand that the hacking that was done was less of a technical hack, but more of a social engineering hack.

Go back to what Cracking is and it alwas was social engineering. (No idea why hackers who are so good at social engineering can't get laid.)

  5. wouldn't Russian puppet Trump already know about the rigging and all that since it's rigged in his favor?

As a puppeteer: you do not tell the puppet what he is going to do. You just guide him in that direction and make it look as if he did it by him/her/itself. The ultimate goal is to let people believe there is no puppeteer.

  7. This would not be possible in Europe due to the fact that Credit Card Companies can not see your purchases. This is by law. They can see the type of store and guess what you bought, but will never be sure.
e.g. If you use it at the supermarket they have no idea if you bought diapers or wiskey or both. The store itself will only have the transaction number and not hold the card number, so that would be an extra layer of problems.
They would first need to ask the ISP, then ask the store and then ask the CC company.
With registration, all they need is ask the ISP and they will have your national number and with that all the info they need.

Want tro develop software for the ID card reader in Belgium for Linux? No problem: https://github.com/fedict/eid-...

To register all you need to do when you buy a card is put your card in the reader and they will have your details. You do not trust it? Well, read the code.
It is very easy to program in a check to see if the card is valid, stolen or what not.
Main downside is that every reader can read all the details. e.g. it will be able to read your address and there is no way to prevent that.

I use it mainly to do my taxes. Put the card in the card reader on my Linux box, Click on OK a few times as they already have all the info and done. Taxes took me 10 minutes. 8 more than normal, because I forgot I had to re-install the software.

  8. The thing is that IF you are a pedophile does not mean you are raping kids. It does not mean you are acting on it. The thing with it is that even if you want to ask for help, it is extremely difficult to find somebody who would help you and not have any consequences.

You might know you are an abusive alcoholic that has beaten up all your past partners, yet that would still be easier than somebody who gets a woody looking at kids and knows that is not right and seeks help.

I live in Belgium. Payments to other people is the same day (I think by law). However if you do it to a company it takes 3 days, (2 if with the same bank)

Why two days to a company? Here is the answer as far as I know:
When the Euro came, the politicians wanted to simplify banking around Europe, so they introduced, among other things, the IBAN number. This is your bank account and to that everybody can send money to everywhere.

They first did the personal accounts and that was put into law and now that happens really fast and cheap. They where working on the same things for company accounts, but then some idiots flew a plane into a building. Now the Americans wanted to see what money was transefered and that resulted in a delay. Obviously the banks do not want to rush things and want to keep that money to work with.

All in all, besides the delay and the fact that the US knows where money goes to, it all works great.

My parents lived in Spain and when my mom died, we brought my dad to Germany with a Dutch abulance service. Money was transferd during these fays between Germany, Belgiun Spain and The Netherlands without an issue as if they would have been at the same bank.
My dads pension, from several different companies in different countries he lives in arrive like clockwork. All we needed to do was send proof of the new bank account and that was it.

This has been the case since several years now. In fact so luch that I am looking to put my savings in another country. With online banking the need of having it in your own country is less needed and the interest cab be a little bit higher. Laws are almost identical all over the place and banks work in multiple countries anyway.

On a sidenote: when I first started with Internet Banking, the bank asked me to pay them 1000BEF (40EUR) per year for the pleasure of needing less staff and have things done automatically. So I changed to a bank (Citibank then) that did it for free. I am not rich enough that the possible difference in interest would have a huge impact on me.
Other side note: A friend many years ago wrote a checque when he took out money at the bank. To the banks he told it was easier for him to do his administration. The real reason was that they where not allowed to charge anything and it costed them a shitload of money.

Because of terrorism we now need to register to get your card activated. Not a real issue as everybody in Belgium already has an ID with chip. The idiots that blew themselves up in Brussels had heaps of phones and SIM cards and used each one only once and trew them away.

At 20EUR for a combo of phone and SIM this was not overly expensive.

Registering was to prevent this. So this will be a new loophole.

  12. Re:Non-Compete Deal should be full pay and full be on Amazon Sues Former AWS VP Over Non-Compete Deal (geekwire.com) · · Score: 4, Interesting

In Belgium these things are great to have.
I had one. The moment I was let go, they signed of that it was not valid anymore. Why? Because if they would not have, they would have had to pay me the amount agreed upon.

All I had to do was file a suit saying that I was unable to go after a job at the competition and they would have to pay me out, regardless if I actually wanted a job or that I was going for a job at none of the competitors.
It would not even matter if I got fired or if I left.

As always: ask a real lawyer that is specialized in this stuff in your jurisdiction, because it can make you a LOT of money or not.

The best moment to do this if you retire. Then there is no risk with future employers who won't hire you. Also look if it is legal, because below a certain pay grade in Belgium it isn't. So you can still go work for the competition and they can't do anything and if you go work elsewhere, they still have to pay you.

Again: talk to a specialized lawyer that is not related to your company. So not the people that do your salary. They work for the company, not for you. Also not your bookkeeper. Only talk to your Union if you are unable to find a lawyer, because it is very likely you talk to somebody who does not know the details and will give you the wrong info, resulting in you not getting the money you should or paying a LOT.

Now you can combine the two and get 50% reduction to write instead of 01010101 you write à à à Ã. or 4à As the à is always the same, you can use 4.

    That is 0101 in binary or à à or 2à or 2.
