The next question is if you will believe the answer I gave you. Only one way to try it out. Oh and IAAL, so you can perhaps look at the advice in a different matter. (Oh, the L stands for Layman)
On a serious note: it is strange that you say that Belgians are either Dutch or French, because a study like this could look if there is genetic similarities or not. e.g. many people I know that are speaking one language do have the last name that is clearly of the other language.
Also it might be interesting to see if they are actualy, as you claim, French or Dutch or if they are Belgian (or Flemish or Walloon). However my guess is that the study is much too generic to look at specifics. There are many other countries that are also not included.
Why should DRM be looked at differently when it is a charity? Wether it is Sony, Greenpeace, EFF or my goldfish who needs an operation is irrelevant.
They downloaded it so it is theirs. Just like I download a song from wherever. The fact that one asks money for it and the other doesn't does not matter. It is then not up to you to deactivate it, even if it was announced for whatever reason. Not because the time has expired, not because I don't have the right software anymore.
Freeloaders? Most likely yes and that is the same identical argument the RIAA and others are making.
This is not about wether the DMA is right or wrong. It is about the fact that there is no difference. What you are saying with in a lot of cases I'd agree with you; but when is actualy: I agree, exept when it affects me (Or something I believe in).
The bad part is when you get a politician who actually believes that he is honest. Mostly because he also believes he is choosen by God. And those are the scary ones.
Home alone on a Friday night slamming back several, eh?
You don't need the brewskies to get brain damage. That movie alone is enough. I don't even dare to think what happens if you watch two or (shrudder) three.
Sounds like the beginning of a MOnthy Python scetch: We have nothing to fear but the state itself. -And fear. What? -We have to fear fear itself. Oh yes. Way to go, Ms. Andersen lawer. At this moment he is the one who got payed. Wether or not she will get the same, more or less later is another matter. Unless the lawer said: If I win this and get my money, you are entitled to x%. You know, like that lawer most likely will be doing with the countersuit.
Somebosy else said:I'm betting it had more to do with alerting the IOC to the insanity of one of its workers. What if that person was after the Streisant effect. As the Streisant effect is now well known, it could be used to get more attention as well.
Things like this have been done in advertising (at least in Belgium) where one of the adverts in a campaign are slightly offencive to an extreme small part of the population. This becomes a newsitem, everybody hears and talks about it like this one which some people in Belgium thought offencive for women, while this one passed without a problem. (I am aware of the irony of giving links to ads while talking about viral advertisement)
So could the Streisant effect be used here to 'promote' the free Tibet case?
I see the start now with the smaller ASUS machines. What would be grat is pre-installation on all machines. If possible dualboot or at least the ability to select from either Windows, GNOME or KDE. Yes, also the ability to choose Windows. Choice is good.
The downside might be that one distribution becomes very dominant. The upside will be that it will be out there in greater and greater numbers, which means some serious decision for Microsoft to take (They are not going away) on how to work together with Linux. Hardware developers will write drivers and people selling software will write (closed source) software for Linux, like games.
And that is important to you because... I just use my spambox houghi.spam@gmail.com for most websites. They can sell that adress as much as they like. Only when I need something (like a confirmation to enter the site) I look in that mailbox. All the rest is deleted unread.
I used to use a different login and email for each adress (e.g. example.com@some.example.net) and it just made it more difficult for me, while not reducing my spam.
Indeed. At some point the value of the room is higher then the value of the stuff in the room. I trow out everything I haven't used in two years or at least 95% of it. The other 5% I give away.
This I do with almost everything, including clothes. The only exceptions are books, DVD's and such. Software? The moment a new version of e.g. openSUSE is out, the old boxed set is in the bin. If somebody wants a copy, I will give them a copy of the new version.
I do the same at the office. There are an enormous amount of printouts of presentations that should NEVER have been printed and other documents I intended to look at at a later point.
Rule number one is to be able to restore those backups. Rule number two is to have backups. Rule number three is if you forget rule number one and two, don't come crying.
And yes, restoring data is more important then backing up.
Now what would be interesting would be to use an online image that you often download. e.g. the logo of your own website. OK, no internet means no access.
Isn't this basicaly gepoprofiling?
The Dutch magazine kijk has an article on it starting on page 18. Unfortunatly nothing online, expet the title of the article: Geoprofiling: Misdadigers pakken met een landkaart

You say it as if that would be a bad thing.
Belgium does apparently have no people or are such a rare breed that it would falsify the map.

They already influence the mind during peacetime. It is called Fox News. (After writing it I am not even sure if I go after funny or insightfull mods)

You must be so proud having both ID 1 AND 2 reply to you. Wow. I am jealous.
Forget the ship, use all of London and any other place with CCTV. Orwell was an optimist.
I grew up in "You are completely retarded if you keep asking me these stupid questions."

Looking presentable is also human nature, yet you don't see him doing that.
There are also many people that BUY their Linux e.g. in a boxed version.
What 5 points only? The last time I got 15 modpoints. Unfortunatly the time between them is too long and then the time to give them is too short.
I rather have less points more often, so that the total amount is the same, but I can actually use them all.
