    It adds one significant feature: it can record.

    Otherwise, there's nothing else on the market that is as good as Xbox Media Center.

    Personally, I've bought a spare Xbox (on the £50 deal you're talking about) as a backup for my current XBMC box.

    True, they've a lot of work to do with it. The code-suggest feature really need to tell you method return types / property types.

    ..and you can always use your own editor and compile with the free compiler.

    If you want to complain, then complain about the fact that they've not opened Flash Player 9.

    Flex Builder 2 is provided as an Eclipse plugin, so it's platform independant.

    Quick google for "flex under linux" returns a blog detailing support: http://blog.davr.org/2007/04/22/flex-builder-201-u nder-linux/.

    You always need to code to the lowest common denominator, which'll be a browser without Javascript. At the very least popup a message about it.

    As for a site broken by Adblock: how about not using horribly intrusive ads? They don't work except maybe with the moron element.

    Adblock is bad because it makes their site readable?

    NoScript bad because it stops nasty/naughty javascript?

    PDF download bad because it stops embedded PDFs breaking your system (but also stops hacked tracking links from working)?

    TrackMeNot because it stops you being tracked and wastes bandwidth?

    I'd suggest the only waste of bandwidth their is their site!

    Aie, as zordac says the "free" blueray disk's a promotion in UK only. I'd kinda assumed that it was the same deal in the USA too - it's extremely rare for us Brits to get any benefits from Sony.

    Guess it's a loss leader to get people started on Blueray, which is more than made up for by the difference in retail prices (we pay more for the disks even after all taxes).

    All this says is that a number of PS3 owners have registered online for their 'free' disk.

    It's like Nintendo claiming to have won the console wars because of the 1-1 sales of Wii Sports..

    According to processor.com http://www.processor.com/editorial/article.asp?art icle=articles%2Fp2633%2F06cp33%2F06cp33.asp, "one nine" uptime means that you can have up to 876 hours downtime per year.

    That's more than a month of downtime, slightly more than sourceforge's 4 days..

    The player was in my bag with a bottle of coke. Was in a rush to catch a plane (via a train) when I put the coke in the bag, and missed the fact that it wasn't tightly closed.

    The process of running to the train station stimulated the coke to the level that it exited its bottle and got friendly with my H340.

    Although only a small quantity of coke had escaped, it totalled the H340's hard drive :(
