And most people don't care. Most people aren't geeks. As long as they can get their German shit porn, check their emails and maybe play games the internals are irrelevant to them
Microsoft has released an OS that anyone can use out of the box, is compatible with the majority of hardware and has widespread business and domestic adoption.
I'm really not a fan of Bill Gates, but I'm glad Microsoft appealed. The issue was over Media Player being bundled, as opposed to Quicktime or Realplayer. Now, Apple have their good points - however, their hardware monopoly and refusal to bundle competitors products with OS releases should have led to a dismissal right away. Additionally, the Windows install of Quicktime rapes the registry and file settings.
Realplayer is a commercial product, supported by either a license fee or spyware - again, this should have been dismissed.
The government collects weather data anyway-it has to, for shipping, flights, disaster prediction, military uses etc. If the taxpayer's already paying for it, why shouldn't they get it for free on the internet?
In the UK, the Nationwide(also a mutual) already has coffee and snacks, things to keep kids occupied and anything more complicated than a simple money transfer is carried out with a customer services adviser in a relaxed setting(usually at a table)
I don't employ Spamassassin or any other spam blocker. As a result, I now have a penis that will make her scream, hot lesbian schoolgirls lusting after my every move, a wide range of generic drugs, 2 PhDs and a completely clean credit record
A step up from living in your parent's basement and whacking off to an inflatable doll, right?
I'd stay and chat, but I have to get back to a Nigerian man about a bank transfer
>>Seisint Inc., is a Boca Raton, Fla., company founded by a millionaire, Hank Asher, who stepped down from its board of directors last year after revelations of past ties to drug smugglers.
Anyone care to guess one of the main sources of terrorist income?
I, and I'de estimate 90% of the people on my street, already rely on Tesco's and Sainsbury's online grocery ordering. IMO the greatest benefit is not having to put up with screaming kids whose parent's post school shopping coincides with my post work free time.
His breath would be affected by the diet of the animals he ate, as well - how do they know the exact content of a herbiverous dinosaur's diet?
This looks like the technology that will enable credit card acceptance in vending machines and video games
Erm, MMORPG mean anything to you? There are several that already use in game payments, such as Project Entropia
That Apple are following the naming conventions for Nazi armoured vehicles? Is this Job's final solution to the Microsoft problem?
Quake 3 came out in 99, Quake 2 in 97.
When they hit the molten rock, how did they not just fall through it?
I'd assume it has a fairly high viscousity
How many calories a day would a Megalodon have needed, and where would it have obtained them? A predator that size seems hugely inefficient

What's Linux got again?

Now if only there was an easy to use out of the box desktop, and widespread driver support, Microsoft might actually be threatened

Apparently, if you can think of a way of preventing NASA developing anything new for the next 20 years you win something called a "pork barrel"
I'm British. If I develop something, will the NASA reward actually manage to convert the units properly this time?
Going by the current success of counter insurgency measures in Iraq, I think you just roll some dice and add them together

I get the feeling this business is an entirely American one, with
a)no market research
b)no idea what an exchange rate is
I can get it on a CD with no DRM for that. Hell, if I take advantage of the current exchange rate I can probably get it for half
Tescos and Sainsburys' are far better-2 hour windows, weekend delivery, and deliveries up till 6pm
