  8. DDR3 Specs vs Nehalem's Supported Speed on Overclocked Memory Breaks Core i7 CPUs · · Score: 2, Informative
    DDR3 specs

DDR3 modules can transfer data at the effective clock rate of 800â"1600 MHz (see here)

That means DDR3-1600 is the max speed as a standard.
Anything faster than DDR3-1600 is already an overclocked memory by the memory manafacture.

However, Nehalem supports up to DDR3-1333 only.

Other features discussed include support for DDR3-800, 1066, and 1333 memory. (see here)

As a hardware enthusiast (but not an overclocker), I would rather be using a DDR3-1600 memory.
Understandably, the overclocking community would want to use DDR3-2000 or faster (if any).

Personally, I would not be buying Nehalem until a newer one comes out
with at least DDR3-1600 or faster support.

    1. Have the "Internet Police" contact the Web Admin of the "offending" site to clean up their own server.
    2. If they don't clean it up after a certain time, stop performing the DNS.

Ok, I *do* realize that this is really difficult and comes with crapload of legal and drama issues,

Then, try refreshing the page for the ACID2 test (http://www.webstandards.org/files/acid2/test.html/) and the smiley looks weird and it fails the ACID2 test.

Overall, I think Vista is a gradual evolution of the Windows platform.
Just like every other company, Microsoft had to make hard Business decisions.

That is why, they delayed one of the most anticipated features
like WinFS because it is NOT ready and solid yet.

In my opinion, Microsoft is focusing on releasing a STABLE OS rather than an error prone insecure OS.

Here's a short comparison to VS .NET

I'm a Visual Studio .NET guy. I'm not saying VS .NET is a 100% bug free program, but however it has these features.

    1. really "intelligent" to know the context
    2. faster (or) more responsive than any other IDE
    3. language parser works unobtrusivly while coding
    4. Customization of the IDE GUI is easy
I spent a long time trying to figure out how to remap Shortcut keys in Eclipse,
and it made me so frustrated to the point that I stopped trying.

Just those above 4 reasons make me love VS .NET

What makes a great IDE is getting rid of those small annoyances
rather than having a very great feature in the first place for me.

    What do you guys think?
